The Young and the Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Judge Moxley Back in Genoa City – Noah on Trial for Billy Hit and Run?

“The Young and The Restless” (Y&R) spoilers tease that legal trouble may be brewing in Genoa City. According to Facebook soap spoilers, Jensen Buchanan is reprising her role as Judge Elise Moxley – the former lover of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) – on February 23.

We last saw Judge Moxley when she presided over the appeal in Adam Newman’s (Justin Hartley) hit and run trial over the death of Delia Abbott. You’ll recall that Victor tried to blackmail Judge Moxley over their affair and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) found out about the whole mess.

Mosley insisted that she wouldn’t be bullied into making anything other than a correct judicial verdict but, in the end, Adam’s sentence went from 10 years down to probation and community service. This change of punishment on appeal was polarizing for most of Genoa City.

So we have to wonder why Judge Moxley is back in town. As long as Adam is obeying his probation rules and doing his community service, it seems like she should not be back to do anything with him… What else could it be?

The other big criminal schemes lingering right now are with Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan) and Noah Newman (Robert Adamson). Sage was arrested for slapping Dr Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush), so there’s a chance she could face a trial for assault.

But it seems like Dr Anderson is focused on a more personal sort of revenge right now – like stealing Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) from Sage rather than pursuing a criminal case. The bigger criminal plot stewing right now is Noah’s hit and run of Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

Too many people in town know about Noah running over Billy – including Billy himself as his memory of that night seems to be returning. Luca Santori (Miles Gaston Villanueva) knows and is using the info to blackmail the Newmans, so it doesn’t seem like he would tattle – or else he would lose his leverage.

Marisa Sierras (Sofia Pernas) also knows, but no way would she rat Noah out to the cops – she still loves the guy. And of course, Adam now knows but wouldn’t betray Noah either. And Billy is more the type to blackmail Noah than punish him – if it was Adam, though, that would be another story…

The person most likely to turn Noah into the Genoa City cops is Noah himself. He’s been feeling guilty since he found out he inadvertently injured Billy. Noah has even said several times he would turn himself in – but both Marisa and Victor stopped him.

Adam will soon tell him that’s not a good choice either. But if Noah thinks that he can help the family by turning himself in, he would do it – particularly since he’s already feeling horribly guilty. If he does confess – or someone else turns him in, Moxley may be back to deal with his case.

Since Noah didn’t see Billy or hit him on purpose, his only real crime was not coming forward when the accident was announced. It likely would have been no big deal if he came clean then – but after all these weeks, he could be charged with obstruction or worse.
