The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will have a lot on their minds. They shared a steamy kiss on New Year’s Eve and it’s definitely thrown them for a loop. They would’ve taken their evening even further if Chelsea hadn’t pulled away.
Chelsea and Nick ultimately agreed that it was best to back off. They don’t want to ruin their friendship. Nevertheless, the heart wants what it wants. It’s pretty evident that Nick’s heart wants Chelsea!
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Nick will mull over that make-out session. He can’t help but feel like there was a real spark between them. Still, Nick will probably try to respect Chelsea’s wishes. He knows he doesn’t want to lose her as a pal.
Later, Nick and Chelsea will revisit the topic of New Year’s Eve. They’ll rehash the circumstances of that close moment and what it really meant. Chelsea may reiterate that they were mainly missing Sage (Kelly Sullivan) and Adam (Justin Hartley). She might suggest that it’s too soon to move on – at least for her.
No matter what Nick says, it’s clear that his desires are growing stronger. Will he wait until Chelsea’s ready or will he eventually nudge her along? The Young and the Restless fans might see Nick make a passionate declaration of love at some point. He tends to fall fast and hard.
It looks like things will continue to be complicated for Chelsea and Nick. If Nick wants more than Chelsea, it could strain their friendship. Of course, Chelsea may secretly want more as well. That could be another source of tension. Chelsea undoubtedly feels like she’s being disloyal to Adam.
Nick and Chelsea could end up in a full-fledged romance down the road, but it may not last long. They have a lot of emotional baggage and it could be too much to overcome. The fact that Nick is Adam’s brother makes all of this a bit uncomfortable.
Could Chelsea ever truly get past that or would she always think of Adam when her lips touched Nick’s? It’s a difficult question that Chelsea will have to ponder. If Nick and Chelsea can’t make it work, they may turn to other Y&R love interests.
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Sharon (Sharon Case) are good options for Nick. He had some nice interactions with Phyllis recently and he’ll forgive Sharon sooner or later. As for Chelsea, maybe they could bring on someone new. We’ll give you updates as other news comes in.
