“The Young and The Restless” (Y&R) spoilers reveal that there will be a kidnapping scare on this week’s Wednesday February 24 episode that hits close to home. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will be stunned to discover that baby Sully and Faith Newman (Alyvia Lind) are gone.
Sharon tells Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) that the kids are gone and it will be revealed that Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan) took both the kids and left the house. Are February sweeps finally about to hit Genoa City with this kidnapping scare?
Or is this yet another trick like Ashley Abbot’s (Eileen Davidson) 30 second pregnancy scare? Even if Sage has only take the kids for ice cream, it’s an exciting foreshadowing of future events to come. Sage, of course, is Sully’s mom since he’s really baby Christian.
Plus, Sage has had all those Christian nightmares. But what makes this Y&R spoiler info released from CBS seem like a teaser that will come to nothing is that Sage also took Faith. Why would Sage take Faith along? Sully makes sense if she’s sure that’s her son.
But Faith is clearly not her kid and she knows it. Plus, Sage doesn’t seem to be teetering on the brink of a mental breakdown or anything. If Sage has taken off with the kids, the most dastardly thing she might be doing – which would be of interest – is DNA testing the kids.
Y&R spoilers have teased for weeks that Sharon would soon find out that she and Sully share no DNA and that proves he’s not her son. Could Sage have figured out that crazy Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) was trying to tell them Sharon was never pregnant?
If so, Sage could take the kids to have them tested with a quick blood draw so she can compare Faith to Sully to see if they’re related. The problem is, that would also show that Faith and Sully share no DNA, but Sage already knows that since she knows Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) is her baby daddy.
Perhaps Sage is checking to see if Faith and Sully are related, which would be a good starting point and would disqualify Sharon as Sully’s mom. If this teaser was a spoiler for something more outlandish, though, it could be a real kidnapping and Sage could be a victim, not the perpetrator.
Perhaps Marco Annicelli (Peter Bergman) has come back – we all know he’s not dead – or Ian Ward (Ray Wise) broke out of jail and one of them decided to steal a handful of Newmans. Those seem like unlikely plot twists, but you never know what’s going to come out of the Y&R writer’s room…
