The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Sharon Shocks Y&R Audience – Tells Nick That Sully is Christian

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Sharon (Sharon Case) will accept Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) advice. Yes, this woman who has kept a baby from his grieving father will come clean. “I was never pregnant. Sully is Christian. I’m so sorry,” says Sharon to Nick (Joshua Morrow) as she’s crying within the cottage. Unless that dialogue, both characters and the setting is simply part of a super soapy dream.

There’s a split within Y&R’s audience. Some viewers love Sharon, choosing to see her as a poor soul who has battled mental health issues, is resilient and has remained highly attractive into her early middle-aged years. Then, there’s another faction.

This second group of Y&R fans despises the schemer, whose lies are always self-serving, must always be attached to some man, in this case Dylan (Steve Burton), whose actions have gone unpunished for numerous crimes and only appears to look great because of a massive series of plastic surgery enhancements.

Regardless of whatever side a Y&R fan might stand on, this much is clear: Sharon has kept a boy, who she knows isn’t her child, for nearly a year. The Young and the Restless spoilers readers know Sharon he also has denied her former husband (Nick) from being with his son, even though viewers know that he likely is Adam’s (formerly played by Justin Hartley) little boy.

Sharon fans can’t defend her actions, they can only deflect critique, or change the subject. Sharon detractors are licking their chops because they believe that the walls will soon be falling down on the soon to be ex-Mrs. McAvoy.

While it’s worthwhile debating, the following point is also moot because the opportunity to just tell everyone the truth has long past. As Young and the Restless viewers recall, soon as Sharon’s mind cleared, she knew that Sully wasn’t her son. The DNA test she had conducted confirmed as much.

Then, because of so many past relationship failures, Sharon convinced herself that the best way to maintain her marriage was to allow Dylan to believe that Sully was his child.

As bad as the above was and is, keeping Christian from Nick is even more egregious. Plus, Sharon’s put Mariah into an impossible situation by forcing her to also promote this lie. Mental health issues were rightfully cited as reasons for many of Sharon’s past actions but can not be used as an explanation for any of her vile choices this time.

Dream sequences are served as delicious portions to many television audiences. Within the world of daytime drama they allow possible realities to be temporarily digested, or spit out. The idea of Sharon actually admitting what she’s done to Nick seems unlikely to happen during her Y&R waking hours. But, anything is possible within this evolving storyline.
