The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, December 22, tease that Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) will try to decide what they’re going to do about Gloria (Judith Chapman). She showed up out of the blue and has plans for an extended visit in Genoa City. This is quite a predicament since Gloria isn’t the easiest person to live with.
Gloria will insist that she’ll stay at Michael and Lauren’s place for as long as they’ll have her. She’ll maintain that she’s missed them and can’t wait to spend some time together. It sounds like they’re going to have trouble getting rid of Gloria. She’s the kind of person who could quickly overstay her welcome.
Thanks to the conflict in Wednesday’s episode, Kevin (Greg Rikaart) is probably ready for Gloria to pack up and go home. He doesn’t appreciate it when people judge Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson). The Young and the Restless buzz hints that Gloria may learn to tolerate her son’s shady love interest, but it’s going to be tough.
Elsewhere, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Jack (Peter Bergman) will have another chat about moving on with their lives. Jack will be impressed when Phyllis seems truly at peace with walking away. Phyllis will agree that distance is what they both need right now. They’ll hope to forget the pain of the past and focus on their separate futures.
Other Y&R spoilers say Billy (Jason Thompson) will think about bailing on the Abbott gathering. He’ll know that Jack will be there and it could lead to a shouting match. Billy won’t want to spoil the Christmas festivities with a loud confrontation. That’s not what the holidays are all about.
The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Traci (Beth Maitland) will try to change Billy’s mind about sticking around. She’ll urge Billy to at least stay long enough to spend some time with his sisters on Christmas Eve. Billy will eventually go along with Traci’s wishes. He has no problem with the women of the Abbott family.
Billy and Jack still have some issues to sort out, but maybe they’ll make some progress soon. Phyllis and Billy’s affair was devastating for Jack, but he should really let it go. He’s been angry long enough for the soap world.
Across town, Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary (Mishael Morgan) will also work on patching things up. They’ll choose a fresh start as their biggest gift this Christmas.
