The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will soon have her hands full with a slightly rebellious teen. Tristan Lake Leabu has been cast as Victoria’s son, Reed. Based on an audition tape that surfaced, it seems Reed will be a runaway when he first pops up.
Reed’s father, JT (Thad Luckinbell), will be concerned when he gets updates on the situation. Victoria will fill JT in when Reed shows up safe and sound in Genoa City. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Reed will hope to make his stay permanent.
Since JT is moving out of the country, Reed will ask to live with Victoria instead. She’ll remind her son that a judge gave JT custody. Reed will suggest that he’s older now and should have no problem requesting the change in court. He’ll want the chance to get to know his brother and sister.
Y&R spoilers state that Victoria will eventually cave in. She’ll agree to speak with JT about moving Reed to Genoa City. Once everything is squared away, Reed will become a happy GC resident. Of course, there will be an adjustment period. Victoria will quickly realize that her son is basically a stranger.
Reed used to love playing baseball, but he’ll inform Victoria that he’s not interested in it anymore. However, there’s one hobby that really excites him. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Reed enjoys playing the guitar. He’ll admit that he’s saving up for one he’s had his eye on.
Victoria might be able to connect with Reed through his music. If she shows her support, it could make Reed’s transition a little easier. Victoria will need to be there for Reed as he heads toward adulthood.
We have to wonder what love interest Y&R might have in store for Reed. Will they bring in a new girl to heat things up? This could be the beginning of a solid teen scene. The Young and the Restless has been lacking characters in this age group, so it might be nice to throw in a few adolescents.
Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) might even get SORAS’d down the road. Alyvia Alyn Lind is a fan favorite, but she does a lot of outside projects. Lind might want to move on at some point. You never know when familiar faces will be swapped with fresh ones on a soap.
