The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, September 7, tease that Nick (Joshua Morrow) will take charge as Genoa City prepares to bid Adam (Justin Hartley) farewell. The news of Adam’s death has been quite a shock. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is still reeling from such a devastating loss.
Victor (Eric Braeden) is also having a tough time coping with the results of his own actions. He had no idea he would lead to his own son’s death by framing him for murder. Nevertheless, everyone will just have to accept the situation and move on. Nick will try to be strong and help the Newmans weather the storm.
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) will arrive to see all of the preparations that have been made for Adam’s funeral. She’ll note that this is a beautiful way to honor Adam’s memory. Nick will hug Nikki and they’ll get ready to say their goodbyes. Meanwhile, Jack (Peter Bergman) will make plans to attend the service as well.
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) won’t be pleased when she gets updates on Jack’s intentions. It appears Phyllis has a problem with any kindness being shown to Victor. Jack won’t care what Phyllis thinks about it. He’ll insist that he’s going to that memorial to acknowledge Victor’s loss. Jack will maintain that it’s the honorable thing to do.
Phyllis and Jack are rarely on the same page when it comes to Victor. Jack seems to believe that his marriage is just peachy these days, but that’s obviously not the case. Perhaps Jack needs to reexamine his relationship.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Victor’s guilt will lead to a surprising suggestion. Y&R viewers know that Victor typically goes to great lengths to keep his family close by. Victor was often Chelsea and Adam’s biggest obstacle whenever they tried to leave town. He would never let them out of his clutches.
However, things are different now that Adam is gone. Victor feels responsible and he doesn’t want to stand in Chelsea’s way. If moving somewhere else would make life easier for Chelsea and Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois), Victor will urge Chelsea pack up her son and go. He refuses to cause more pain than he already has.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will hide nearby as she listens in on their conversation. She’ll look somewhat distressed by the thought of Chelsea leaving Genoa City. Chloe might feel like she’s inadvertently pushed her friend away through her role in Adam’s downfall.
Of course, Chelsea will undoubtedly determine that Connor needs the love and support of his family right now. Nick can be father figure for Connor and help him deal with Victor as he grows older. There will be plenty of other relatives around to support Connor, too.
