The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Travis (Michael Roark) and Vickie (Amelia Heinle) won’t make it to the altar. But Billy (Jason Thompson) won’t be the one to trip ‘Tricky’ immediately or directly. Instead, Vickie will learn the truth about Michelle (Kelly Frye) and end what will prove to be a short engagement.
It took a day for Vickie to formally accept Travis’ marriage proposal. She did so in dramatic fashion at the Newman family Thanksgiving dinner celebration. Viewers were impressed by the gold tipped wine goblets that were seen in that new setting, as Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) main dining room hadn’t previously been shown before.
The somewhat small room was more suited to mid-level executive’s McMansion than that of a billionaire CEO. But modern budget restraints hit this iconic daytime drama along with those of its fellow shows a number of years ago.
Back to the action – Vickie is crushing hard on Mr. Crawford. Earlier this year it was lust at first sight. Travis met her visual preference instantly, while his personality proved to be a jumping off point from Billy. Vickie’s anticipated husband does care about her and is liked by the children. Travis was also recently endorsed by Mr. Abbott, which was rather shocking.
Of course, information that was learned about Michelle’s winning overture toward Travis passed from Ashley (Eileen Davidson) to Billy in short order. Then, surprisingly, Billy opted to not tell his ex-wife that salacious story. He’s trusting her judgment, for the moment. How long that stance lasts in anyone’s guess but The Young and the Restless spoilers tell us that Billy blabs this coming week.
Michelle kept her dress on and backed down after Ashley persuaded her to return to New York. However, Travis’ ex-girlfriend cryptically said that she anticipated ‘Villy’ wouldn’t last forever. Time is a fleeting concept in reality. In soap terms a month might pass until Michelle’s prediction is tested.
Billy is hoping that Vickie breaks her commitment before she offers her vows. Travis is hoping that his past doesn’t hinder the present as he attempts to build a future with a dynamic woman who he appears to love. Michelle’s desires are clear. She left her husband and went to Genoa City in a direct attempt to promote a ‘Trichelle’ sequel.
As for Vickie, she remains in the dark. Surely the incoming writing staff, headed by Sally Sussman, will directly address a storyline that involves one of Y&R’s legacy characters. An engaging resolution would find a way to keep Vickie, Billy, Travis and Michelle all in the mix as 2017 arrives.
