The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Nick (Joshua Morrow) will try to block out the spreading scandal. Thanks to Dr. Anderson’s (Elizabeth Bogush) trickery and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) deception, a media circus is about to go down. Nick will attempt to ignore the noise. He feels like he needs to concentrate on making up for lost time with Christian.
Of course, there’s much more to the story. Nick is just too overwhelmed to dig deeper. All Nick can think about is his joy over Christian’s return and his anger over the year he missed. Nevertheless, things should settle down eventually. That’s when Nick could realize that he didn’t quite finish the puzzle.
Let’s consider the details of this saga. Sharon revealed that Sage (Kelly Sullivan) discovered the truth just before she died. Nick learned Sage was on her way to tell him when her car crashed. Who did Sage call right before her vehicle swerved off the road? It certainly wasn’t Nick.
Sage chose to call Adam (Justin Hartley), the true “baby daddy.” Dylan (Steve Burton) was curious about that voicemail, but Adam insisted that Sage was trying to reach Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) about work. Paul (Doug Davidson) and Dylan eventually just let the issue go, but it could resurface.
Sage wouldn’t have been trying to chat about designs when she just found out her baby was alive. If anyone brings up that call, Nick’s new life with Christian could crumble. The letter Sage left for Adam might also come up.
Nick demanded to know what the note said, but Adam played it cool. He even burned it so there would be no proof of Christian’s paternity. If the wheels ever start turning for Nick, he could have questions again.
Unfortunately, Adam is presumed dead and that just leaves Chelsea to provide answers. She could end up on the hot seat soon enough. Chelsea could crack if Nick puts enough pressure on her. If Chelsea lets something slip about Victor’s (Eric Braeden) involvement, Nick could confront him as well.
The Young and the Restless often chooses to ignore the details, so it’s possible that no one will get a clue. They could have another type of reveal in store. Still, there are some nice little nuggets waiting just in case. Maybe Y&R could bring up some of the facts before the next bomb drops.
Once the truth finally comes out, Nick might realize what Sharon had to go through. He could see how difficult it is to start raising a baby and then be told he’s not yours. The Young and the Restless fans know the experience was definitely brutal for Sharon. It was almost more than she could bear.
However, the paternity revelation probably won’t have much of an impact until an Adam recast inevitably enters the picture. That’s when the fun will really begin! We’ll give you updates as other news emerges.
