The Young and the Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Will Christian Paternity Reveal Turn Adam Against Victor?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Will Christian Paternity Reveal Turn Adam Against Victor?

“The Young and The Restless” (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) may not have his lapdog Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) to kick around much longer. The only leverage Victor has to keep Adam at his beck and call is the Christian paternity secret, but the clock is running out on that.

With Dr Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush) dead and Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton) on the case, it’s only a matter of time before the secret is out – no matter how it’s revealed. With crazy Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) back in Genoa City, plus Dr A’s co-conspirators running scared, the secret will come out.

Y&R spoilers have hinted for weeks that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will soon find out that her and Sully share no DNA. This is all part of the very dramatic reveal that not only do Sharon and Dylan not have a son, but that Christian is also not the child of Noah Newman (Joshua Morrow).

The simple fact is, the reveal of Christian’s paternity and the baby’s return to Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan) is inevitable. And with that ugly truth out there, that means Victor will no longer have any leverage over Adam. What then? Will Adam walk away from the family business?

Victor may not like it, but Adam has options – several of them. If he wants to stay at Newman Enterprises, Adam could work with Luca Santori (Miles Gaston Villanueva) and try and push Victor out of his own company.

Last time Luca partnered up, Adam was double dealing on Luca with Victor, but they could revive the plan and this time it could be the real deal – to take down both Adam and Luca’s dads so the sons could take the crowns and rule in their place – for real this time.

But if Adam wants to wash his hands completely of Newman Enterprises, he could also turn to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and migrate over to Jabot. Remember the other day when Adam told Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) that he wanted Newman to be more like Jabot and be an ethical firm?

If Newman can’t change its stripes, the next best thing may be for Adam to change his stripes. The most interesting – but less likely – option is for Adam to join up with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis Newman (Gina Tognoni) in their quest for vengeance against Victor.

Billy and Adam have a tortured history together, so it would be an odd partnership indeed – but stranger things have happened in Genoa City. Plus, there’s always the chance that Ian Ward (Ray Wise) is still lurking somewhere lurking to make trouble – it would be great to see him back with Adam! Patty (Stacy Haiduk) made it clear upon her return that she helped Ian escape.

Whatever comes of this, Adam has had enough of Victor’s bullying and high-handed ways. When Victor returns from his vacation, he will rage at Adam and blame him for the failed plan to get Luca out of Newman. This may be the beginning of the end for Adam’s obedience to Victor.
