‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers tease that the very talented Alyvia Alyn Lind has been cast in another Dolly Parton movie! ‘Y&R’ fans were thoroughly impressed with Alyvia’s performance as a young Dolly Parton in the NBC made-for-TV movie ‘Coat Of Many Colors,’ you most likely will recognize Lind as Sharon and Nick’s daughter Faith on the CBS soap opera.
‘The Young And The Restless’ fans were not the only ones impressed with Alyvia’s performance in the NBC movie as Dolly Parton. The country music singer raved about her tiny little protégé, the role won her awards, and the ratings were phenomenal!
So, no one is truly surprised that NBC is putting together another Dolly Parton movie and has asked Alyvia Alyn Lind to return as the lead.
According to an official press released from NBC, they are moving forward with a Christmas themed Dolly Parton movie, appropriately titled, ‘Dolly Parton’s Christmas Of Many Colors: Circle Of Love.’ There is no news yet on when the new movie will began filming, or a potential air date (we’re going to assume that it will be around the holidays though), however NBC has confirmed that the entire case from the 2015 movie will be back for the encore.
Dolly Parton actually teased back in 2015 that she wanted to do a Christmas movie, when she and Alyvia Alyn Lind were promoting ‘Coat Of Many Colors.’
The official synopsis for Alyvia Alyn Lind’s new movie teases:
“The film delivers Christmas joy and peril as an unexpected blizzard threatens the Parton family, while at the same time Dolly’s father (and his kids) make sacrifices to raise enough money to finally buy his loving wife the wedding ring he could never afford to give her. Meanwhile, an important person in little Dolly’s life begins to see that her amazing voice and musical gift might just be made for something bigger than rural Tennessee.”
