The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that the Sully reveal will spur Dylan (Steve Burton) to pursue a DNA test to prove the paternity of the boy he believed was his son. The stunning news won’t initially completely dissuade Dylan from thinking that Sully is his biological child.
Dylan may consider Sharon’s (Sharon Case) recent mental health issues and his aunt Patty’s (Stacy Haiduk) unreliability as a witness to any supposed crime good grounds to demand a DNA paternity test to provide medical proof and backup to the stories he will be hearing on this week’s Y&R new episodes.
After all, Patty is certifiably insane and as The Young and the Restless viewers know, so is Sharon much of the time! Dylan rightfully demands a DNA test based on the enormity of the stakes – losing what he believes is his son. Dylan would be wrong to simply accept Patty’s or Sharon’s word for anything after the Tuesday, November 1 upcoming episode.
Of course everyone, except for Chelsea and Victor of course, will be startled when both Dylan and his brother Nick (Joshua Morrow) are ruled out as Christian’s father. That unexpected outcome will send a second shock wave across Genoa City.

The revelation that Sully was actually Christian Newman would naturally make people believe that Nick’s son never died. Sage (Kelly Sullivan) gave birth to Christian last fall and there was never any subsequent indication that another man was involved. So, the issue of her son’s paternity wasn’t a legitimate question in most people’s minds at the time. Why would it be?
But, as Y&R viewers know, Nick and Sage temporarily broke up around the time when Christian was conceived. Sage recklessly spent time with Adam (Justin Hartley), of all people, just after he and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) had a blow out and weren’t technically together.
The impulsive behavior that Sage and Adam engaged in could hardly be classified as romantic. But their revenge action seems to have fertilized an egg.
Even though Sage and Adam were only ‘involved’ one time, that’s all it takes. Common sense odds would indicate that some soap opera fans might be able to relate to a similar experience, or know of babies who came to be born in said fashion. Yes, daytime drama scripts are sometimes recognizable to some in the audience.
The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Dylan will rightly be outraged to learn that Sharon’s memory cleared shortly after she returned from Fairview with the boy she was passing off as their child. He’ll demand to know why she never bothered to tell him that crucial information.
Then, after momentarily hoping that her recollection was simply drug induced, or mental health related, Dylan will learn that Sharon subsequently had a DNA test conducted and that Nick appeared to be revealed as the boy’s father. But then that premise will be shattered as well through the results of the test Dylan requires.
No wonder Nick recently sensed that something was off with Sharon, as he relayed to Chelsea last week. His past experience with this woman has often been outrageous. Now his brother Dylan will come to understand what lies beneath the beautiful exterior of someone he fully trusted.
