The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Faith Newman Diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder - Like Mother, Like Daughter?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) will be diagnosed as having bipolar disorder, but to fans of the show this shouldn’t be much of a shock considering her behavior and unstable upbringing throughout her young life.

On the outside, Faith shows that she is well beyond her years when it comes to having “adult” conversations, and she has probably dealt with more than most people do in their lifetimes; but if you truly watch her mannerisms, you can tell there is something off.

From the time she was born, her life has been a roller-coaster of events, including be kidnapped and passed off as someone else’s daughter. She has been pulled between her parents every time they break up. Her mother, Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) has been married to every man on her dad’s side of the family, plus more. The Young and the Restless spoilers remind us that every time she gets close to them, Sharon does something outrageous that ends the marriage and the stability in Faith’s life.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Faith Newman Diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder - Like Mother, Like Daughter?

Y&R’s Faith may still be a young child, but she is beginning to show signs typical of the disorder, but no one is really paying attention to her, since her parents are once again pitted against each other fighting for a child that doesn’t even belong to them. She is depressed a lot of the time, and then she hits a super high, like when she is with grandpa Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). How long will this display of extreme mood swings go on before someone in her life takes notice?

Fans may think that Faith is a bit bratty too, and that may cover up her true diagnosis. It is amazing how a young child has such control over so many adults. Faith can beg her dad for something and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) gives in every time.

Now it seems that Faith is the one who chooses where she lives, regardless of what is court ordered and best for her. All of these things are leading toward a serious manifestation of the disorder. It’s the sense of control and grandiose mentality, where Faith is acting like she is almost invincible, that her word and choices are the ultimate that gives this away. Another typical sign of the disorder that fans can see is how much Faith talks, she is a chatterbox who will talk about anything and everything.
