“The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) spoilers tease that we’ll get to know more about Travis (Michael Roark) in the near future. He’s still quite mysterious at the moment. We’ve learned that Travis owns a bar and has the hots for Victoria (Amelia Heinle), but there are surely skeletons in his closet. If Travis doesn’t have secrets already, he’s bound to have some soon.
In an interview with CBS.com, Michael Roark discussed getting in the Genoa City groove and teased where things are headed for Travis. Roark is actually a licensed attorney, but he always had intentions of acting as well. He had some early success and eventually landed at “The Young and the Restless.”

When asked how he was adjusting to a daytime drama, Roark noted that “it’s a refreshing change” and he appreciates the challenge. It seems Roark is similar to Travis in a few ways. “I do share traits with him,” Roark said. “He’s got a lot of heart…He’s a guy who’s had some struggles in the past, and he’s trying to make the right moves.”
Perhaps those struggles will come back in to play down the road. Regardless, Roark suggested that Travis may have a couple of tricks up his sleeve. “We’re not quite sure what he’s about just yet, but the good parts of him are good,” said Roark. “We haven’t discovered the other parts of him. What are his motives? Are his motives genuine? We still don’t know.”
Roark makes great points here. Travis has a sweet smile and kind eyes, but it feels like something is brewing. We know that Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) has been keeping a close eye on Travis’ romance with Victoria. That little varmint is always bad news.
Will Travis join forces with Luca somehow or try to protect Victoria from his mischief? We’ll have to wait and see, but Victoria obviously needs to be worried about Summer (Hunter King), too. Victor (Eric Braeden) is apparently the only one Summer remains loyal to. Why? Maybe she’s just that naïve.
Threats are coming at Victoria from every angle. Travis has been her escape in the midst of the chaos, but will that continue to be the case? It’s too early to say. Travis has the potential to become a much deeper Y&R character. It should be interesting to unwrap the layers in the coming weeks. Stick with “The Young and the Restless” for updates on what lies ahead for Travis.
