The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victor Lays Trap For Jack - Did The Moustache Plant False Evidence?

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Victor (Eric Braeden) is setting Jack (Peter Bergman) up. The Moustache was recently shown speaking on the phone with one of his operatives. Jack’s daylight meeting in Chancellor Park might not have been as productive as was hoped.

Yet, neither party will be able to claim victory in the near future as these behemoths battle clandestinely.

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) is both smart and right in wanting to help her husband fight Victor. Like Jack, she wants revenge against the man whose diabolical doppelganger scheme served to wreck their marriage. Because he’s not totally over Phyllis, Jack will allow his wife’s involvement in developing sabotage plans to flow on Y&R.

Some seasoned Y&R viewers, or devoted Victor fans, might point out that Mr. Newman wasn’t responsible for Phyllis somehow not knowing that Marco (Peter Bergman) wasn’t her spouse. And, they would acknowledge that ‘Red’s’ willing choice to personally partner with Billy (Jason Thompson) had nothing to do with the rogue maneuvers that originated inside Newman Enterprises’ corporate suite.

But, at this point in Genoa City’s timeline, those arcs have evolved to different storyline spaces.

The Young and the Restless spoilers predict that whether Victor planted evidence that Jack purchased from the character whose face wasn’t shown at Chancellor Park doesn’t mean too much. With whatever he’s doing, Victor knows that Jack was telling the truth when he announced a return to war time measures at the Ranch a handful of weeks ago.

The Moustache also understands that his own actions have created Jack’s thirst for justice. That’s why Y&R spoilers readers know he’s prepared more than ever to take preventative measures.

Now, Victor hasn’t always won every battle through the years. So, just because he’s preparing for yet another fight against his main nemesis doesn’t mean that Jack won’t score some victories along the trail. A back-and-forth effort seems likely to be shown.

As savvy viewers know, a new regime has been installed at Y&R in 2016. Executive producer Mal Young, head writer Sally Sussman and story consultant Kay Alden possess strong soap opera resumes. Their collaborative vision won’t allow Victor to block Jack and that’s that.

Daytime dramas including The Young and the Restless involve extended stories, which in this case means many skirmishes, various defeats and revivals, all heading toward a powerful climax. Victor does stand as the victor of all cumulative Newman-Jabot wars during the past few decades.

But, Jack is motivated by different forces this time around. And, Phyllis feels rightfully wronged by Victor’s violation. So, there’s no telling how ‘Phack’ will react, or use, Victor’s trap as fall folds into winter.
