Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that an exciting storyline is coming up. Ken Corday, DOOL’s executive producer, revealed some interesting tidbits in an interview with Soap Opera Digest. He confirmed that a whodunit is brewing. It seems this plan was already underway when Dena Higley was still the head writer.
Corday noted that the writer change prompted a few adjustments. Once Ron Carlivati took over, he changed the direction slightly. Days apparently shot some new scenes to insert. They’re doing whatever they can to come up with a story that will please fans.
Since we’re now certain of a murder, there’s a good chance Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) is a goner. Deimos is out at Days of Our Lives, so he’s an obvious candidate for the victim. Everything we’re seeing on screen right now is setting it up.
Just think about how many people loathe Deimos in Salem. Almost anyone could snap and take him out. An audition tape surfaced on Vimeo that offers some clues about where things are headed. It appears Deimos will sink further into his evil insanity. He may cause death and destruction thanks to his shady business tactics.
Days buzz hints that Brady (Eric Martsolf) may end up injured after Deimos carries out an upcoming scheme. It also looks like Deimos will target Sonny (Freddie Smith) for taking charge at the company and driving Nicole (Arianne Zucker) away. Deimos only has himself to blame, but that’s not how he’ll see it.
Some type of mystical amulet will enter the picture eventually. It will supposedly protect its owner from danger, so Deimos will want to get his hands on this lucky charm. He may believe he’s untouchable once it’s in his possession.
Of course, this plot could backfire big time. If Deimos tries to kill Sonny, someone could quickly intervene. It sounds like Deimos will be in a body bag before all of this is over. If Deimos is murdered, who could the culprit be? There would be several Salemites with a strong motive.
Sonny, Brady and anyone else tied to the Kiriakis clan could be involved. Paul (Christopher Sean) could even strike in an effort to protect Sonny. Eduardo (A Martinez) and Dario (Jordi Vilasuso) might be contenders, too. Nicole is another option, but she’s been dealing with enough criminal charges lately. Perhaps it’s someone else’s turn to face some heat.
Whatever the case, Days of Our Lives viewers can expect some serious action. Deimos could finally pay the price for all his dirty deeds. We’ll give you updates as more news comes in.
