General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate things are not well between newlyweds Nina Reeves (Michelle Stafford) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). They married with the best intentions, giving his alleged daughter Charlotte (Scarlette Fernandez) a stable home environment and a mother figure who would love and protect her.
However, things took a drastic turn when Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) refused to stop digging into Valentin’s secret past. General Hospital’s super spy, Anna was shocked to discover Valentin was the man she spurned at the WSB Academy; Valentin showed his first sign of weakness when she remembered him as the badly disfigured friend who suffered from scoliosis; he cried and stuttered at the memory of her rejection.
Nina learned the truth of their history and not only defended her husband, but accuses Anna of being obsessed with him. Anna struck a chord when she said it was Valentin who couldn’t let go of her.
GH sources show Anna will fall sick thanks to a possible poisoning from Liv St. John/Jerome (Tonja Walker). Liv has never gotten over the fact that the only man she ever loved, Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) only had eyes for his beloved Anna. Liv may have come to town to exact revenge for the betrayal from her brother, Julian Jerome (William deVry), but it is clear she is gunning for Anna Devane as well.
Unfortunately for Nina, Anna falls ill on Valentine’s Day and her husband, Valentin clearly shows where his priorities lie when he chooses to take care of her rather than spend the day for lovers with his wife.
General Hospital fans know Nina has never been able to accept being rejected. She knows that her marriage is in jeopardy; but what is even worse than that is the possibility of losing the chance to be a mother to the child she has grown to love as her own. How far is Nina willing to go to secure her relationship with Valentin and his little girl, Charlotte? There truly is nothing worse than a woman scorned!
