General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) doesn’t seem like herself for a reason. That’s not Anna in Port Charles. That’s Alexandra Devane (also played by Finola Hughes) and she’s in town working the agenda of big bad Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and that’s why she’s targeting Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
General Hospital fans know that Anna hasn’t seemed like herself ever since she said she had to leave town to do some investigating after Valentin told her she seduced him then ran off leaving him in the sights of hit men from the WSB. Anna couldn’t recall any of this but then did a total 180 when she came back to town. “Anna” also seems standoffish with close pals.
Anna reacted strangely to Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) and Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen). It’s very unlike Anna to ignore those guys yet she’s tried to avoid both. General Hospital spoilers say this could it be because Alexandra knows she might not pass scrutiny of anyone with a close bond to Anna? Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) also thought it strange that “Anna” retracted herself from the Valentin war.
As it turns out, “Anna” is still investigating Valentin and placed a bug in the wrist strap of that nice watch she got him. Remember Anna did legit try and bug the Cassadine castle before but Valentin caught her installing surveillance and then she collapsed because of her blood cancer. There’s also the matter that “Anna” seems 100% healthy all of a sudden.
General Hospital spoilers provide another clue that this is not Anna – when “Anna” told Andre she was investigating Valentin and eavesdropping with permission of the WSB, he reminded her he has clearance with them to work on projects since he’s a WSB consultant. “Anna” was lying, though, and that’s why she scrambled to dissuade him saying his clearance wasn’t high enough.
Andre is a smart guy and it seems like he should be making calls to the WSB to find out if what Anna is doing is kosher. There’s also the matter of “Anna” brutally slamming Nina Clay Cassadine (Michelle Stafford) face down onto the table after Nina slapped her. Doesn’t it seem like “Anna” is operating at a high capacity for someone who was collapsing and in General Hospital week ago?
No way should “Anna” have been able to overpower Nina, who is not a small chick, that easily if she was the real Anna who’s suffering a chronic illness. The only thing this “Anna” has in common with the Anna we usually see is the hand bandage which could easily be a fake. General Hospital spoilers say Anna in his custody and sent Alexandra in her place to destroy Valentin.
Valentin has been operating in a shady manner since Anna/Alex got him booted from the WSB. Since Valentin considered Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) his enemy, that means Faison is also his enemy as Helena’s partner in crime. Faison could see the revelation that Valentin is in Port Charles as the perfect opportunity to take down a powerful adversary.
General Hospital has presented recent GH episodes so that it seems likely that Alexandra is the one in Port Charles right now and she’s working for Faison and the DVX while pretending to be Anna working for the WSB. That’s why both Faison and DVX have been name dropped so much recently. Valentin seems to think “Anna” really wants peace but she does not. But what may help is if Nina breaks or steals the watch he got from “Anna.”
