General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal there’s a CarSon divorce war brewing and Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) new love interest may play a role that infuriates Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). It seems like the Corinthos clan is headed for a nuclear explosion but Sonny will walk away unscathed with a new love.
No actress name has been revealed yet, but in February, General Hospital was casting for Martina, Sonny’s new love interest who’s also a lady lawyer. General Hospital spoilers hint Martina could be Carly’s divorce lawyer so when she and Sonny hook up, there is a major conflict of interest and the new gal’s career could be at risk.
Right after Sonny walked out of Carly’s house, she ran scrambling for her phone to call Diane Miller (Carolyn Henesy) to ask her to rep her in the divorce instead of Sonny. Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) thought Carly was jumping the gun with the call, but it looks like it’s too late.
Remember a few days before, Sonny called Diane when he was outside Kelly’s and left her a message saying he had something for her to work on ASAP. That was just after he told Carly to forgive him or divorce him and Carly said she wouldn’t forgive him. Likely Sonny wanted Diane to prep divorce docs.
After that, he found out Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier) lied and drugged him and was optimistic he and Carly could reunite. General Hospital viewers saw things blow up because Sonny found Carly and Jax fresh out of bed and called Carly a whore and that means he’ll need those divorce docs ASAP. That leaves Carly needing a lawyer. Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) doesn’t have her law license and Carly wouldn’t touch Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) with a 100 foot pole. There’s always Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) but he’s turned into an ambulance chaser and his top client is Ava Jerome (Maura West), so he’s no good.
Nora Buchanan (Hillary B Smith) could do a good job but she’s back in Llanview. All of a sudden, when Carly needs a lawyer, a new one has been cast, so it seems quite likely Martina will rep Carly in her divorce case. The problem is, Martina runs into Sonny and there’s immediate chemistry and then a kiss.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that when Martina and Sonny run into each other at a bar, she doesn’t know he’s the Corinthos mobster. Perhaps Sonny introduces himself by his birth name “Michael.” Either way, Martina is clueless as to his identity as the soon-to-be-ex of her new client and they share a steamy kiss.
Then later, Sonny and Martina run into each other at the court house, perhaps on the way into the divorce hearing. Martina will be shocked to find out she’s repping his wife and that she crossed ethical boundaries when she liplocked the sexy mobster. When Carly finds out, she’ll explode.
It’s less about jealousy and more about her divorce case. This is all part of the leaked General Hospital audition script that shows Martina worried that kissing Sonny could wreck her career. It’s not a deal breaker to kiss a mobster unless that mobster is the other party in the divorce case she’s working.
There are big explosions coming from the bitter CarSon divorce and Martina will be front and center.
