General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal the Jake Webber (Hudson West) mystery of his years on Cassadine Island is about to bubble back up to the surface. These questions should have been asked when Jake was first found on the island in the custody of Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). Now they will be and his dad ties into it.
Remember we haven’t seen the weird picture book Helena left to Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) in her video will for a long time, but it’s about to come up again and will emerge in a creepy fashion. Franco (Roger Howarth) warned Liz about Jake and mentioned Sam Morgan’s (Kelly Monaco) curse.
Franco suggested Jake bringing that up means he has some lingering issues from his years in captivity on the island in Greece. Liv immediately dismissed Franco’s concerns and said she just wants Jake to be a kid right now. Liz was wrong not to listen to Franco’s concerns since he has a great rapport with her son.
In coming days, little Jake creeps up on Franco and Liz and says something disturbing. Jake quotes from the shady book Helena left to his mom. That scares Liz because she has that book put away and doesn’t think Jake has ever seen it. Liz asks Franco how Jake could know what is in the pages of that book.
Franco tells Liz he thinks Jake needs art therapy again but General Hospital disbanded the program. Lucky for Liz, she has a skilled art therapist right there with her. Franco wants to help but knows Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) doesn’t like him being around Jake and may not want him doing art therapy with his son.
Franco is worried if Jason finds out he’s doing art therapy with Jake again, he could blow up and make everything more difficult on Jake, so what to do? Franco decides to play it by ear and on GH in coming days, Franco sits down with Jake to do some drawing without making it an official art therapy session.
Franco is stunned by what Jake draws and some of the influence Helena had on Jake is exposed – and it’s clear Helena’s influence is still there. Once they realize there is a problem, Liz and Franco will go to Jason and Sam because they can’t do this without them and they can’t hide the issues, but this is messy.
The two couples are not comfortable with each other. There is so much history there but they have to find a way to unite to help Jake or everyone will regret it. What also may come out is whether Jake and Jason shared time on Cassadine Island since both were under Helena’s control in the same time period.
Frank Valentini mentioned on Twitter that all of Jason’s memories have not come back yet and there’s more to be explored. The memories Jason is missing are the ones from between when he was shot by Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and when he got his memories back after being Jake Doe for months with Liz.
It seems there’s no doubt that once they dig into Jake’s secret past on Cassadine Island, then Jason, Sam, Franco and Liz will also find more about Jason’s time when he was Helena’s captive and gone from Port Charles.
