General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Michael Easton, who portrays Dr. Hamilton Finn, on the ABC soap opera is heartbroken that his dear friend Rebecca Budig, who portray his onscreen lover, Hayden Barnes has been let go and has already completed the taping of her final scenes. He wrote a heartfelt, emotional goodbye to her on his social media account for the world to feel his sadness.
GH’s Easton posted a beautiful photograph of Budig saying: “Miss my friend. My partner in crime, The light at the end of the tunnel. The girl with the soulful eyes, a fighter’s heart and so much damn talent it hurts. I know the clocks will not stop but the sun will seem to shine a little less bright.”
General Hospital spoilers also heard that is it entirely possible that the powers that be have let Rebecca Budig go in order to free up enough money for soap opera super star Steve Burton (Jason Morgan/Quartermaine) to make his triumphant return to the ABC daytime drama he has called home for more than 20 years.
When Hayden Barnes first arrived in Port Charles, many of her fans were thrilled to see her return to daytime after portraying Greenlee Smythe on All My Children (AMC), playing opposite Josh Duhamel, who portrayed Leo du Pres, off and on since 1999. General Hospital viewers were excited to see this amazing actress join the cast and hoped for big, exciting story lines.
GH fans didn’t really like Hayden Barnes at the beginning, she was a con-artist paid by Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) to pretend she was Jake Doe’s (Billy Miller) wife. Hayden became a bit more lovable when she became involved with Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) – although she was unable to break down all her walls with him as they played the “cat and mouse’ game with each other.
Hayden’s relationship with Finn was definitely what allowed viewers to fall in love with her. Hayden became vulnerable and even managed to find Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) soft spot, with her being the mother figure Hayden always wanted. No one saw this coming, Hayden recently discovered she was pregnant with Finn’s baby
General Hospital fans had hoped the pregnancy would mean she would be sticking around for a long time to come – but now we have to wonder what will happen to the mother and baby?
