General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) may soon be in danger thanks to his brand-new position on the board at GH. Michael’s a smart guy that’s bringing his ELQ CEO talents to the effort to save the hospital, but will this put a bullseye on the mob boss’s son?
Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) is thrilled to have Michael there battling side by side to save the hospital but they have no idea the forces they’re up against or how deadly events will soon turn. As of now, all Hayden and Mikey know is that someone wants to buy GH to knock it down and build condos.
But there’s a lot more to it than that. Olivia “Liv” Jerome (Tonja Walker) won’t tell Julian Jerome (William deVry) why she wants GH to be destroyed, but it’s obvious that it ties back to Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) and her disturbing obsession with the non-dead Scottish mob man.
Duke died at GH and so did Liv – or at least that’s what Julian and everyone else thought. Does Liv want to smash GH and build condos there so she can live in the penthouse and bask in her twisted fantasy world where she and Duke were a legitimate couple? Liv is mad as a hatter and wants GH.
We also know that Liv has no compulsion about using violence to get her way. She had Winston Ridge (David Lee) hire Buzz (Don Swayze) to put a bomb on Julian’s car. She wanted her brother dead for slighting her, so she’s not above murder. She’s also got a hit out on Buzz right now.
Liv doesn’t feel guilty at all about Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) getting blown up. Not only that, she was setting up Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to take the fall for the car bomb. Liv would have no problem marking Michael for death if he’s an obstacle to her getting GH.
Michael has his hands full with the hospital, ELQ and the unrequited affection he has for naughty Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier). The last thing he needs is a vengeful mob boss with an obsession for Chinese trinkets and a Scottish ex to be stalking him, but it seems it’s about to happen.
The bad thing is that no one is keeping an eye on Michael. His dad Sonny is focused on exacting revenge for Morgan’s death and Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) is worried about pregnant Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) and keeping reckless Sonny out of jail for going after his son’s killer.
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is wrapped up in Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and her feelings about Carly and Sonny’s reunion, so she’s not really worried about Mikey either. Carly would like to see Michael and Nelle get romantic but, aside from that, she’s happy to let him roam free.
Michael is the perfect target for Liv since no one has his back and he’s the smart one that might figure out a way to save GH from her demolition plans. What do you think? Will Liv put another child of Sonny’s at risk with her endless vendetta against those she hates in Port Charles?
