General Hospital (GH) spoilers confirm Ryan Paevey who portrays the sexy PCPD detective Nathan West is about to leave Port Charles. But General Hospital fans don’t need to fret, he isn’t going to be gone for too long. Despite the fact that his onscreen wife, Maxie Jones, portrayed by Kristen Storms, has been begging her husband to join her in Portland, he is not going to take her up on the offer.
Good news for GH fans is that Paevey is only temporarily leaving to play a role in the upcoming romantic movie for the Hallmark Channel called “Harvest Love” according to SID. Ryan will play alongside another daytime drama alum, Jen Lilley, who is well-known for her role as Theresa Donovan on NBC’s Days of Our Lives as well as being a temporary replacement for Kirsten Storms as Maxie Jones on General Hospital.
General Hospital spoilers reveal this isn’t the first time Ryan Paevey has taking time off to work on other projects, as he took time off in January 2017 to star in “The Storm” alongside Josie Davis who is also a soap opera veteran best known for her role as the original Grace Turner in CBS’ The Young and the Restless as well as Camille Desmond on the FOX network’s highly popular “Beverly Hills, 90210”.
At this time is it unclear how Ryan Paevey’s absence from Port Charles will be explained, but it definitely will be interesting to see how Maxie reacts to her husband leaving town. It could simply be that he will be sent away on an extended police assignment.
But Ryan’s absence could also relate to his hiding the fact that he is the face behind “Ask Man Landers,” especially since Maxie has just spoken to someone on the phone about digging up dirt to find out who Man Landers truly is.
General Hospital spoilers have teased that Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) is also set to return to Port Charles – could his presence cause a rift in the already fragile marriage of Nathan and Maxie? Will TPTB use Ryan’s absence to tempt Maxie into an affair?
GH fans are solidly behind Naxie so we wouldn’t expect any kind of permanent breakup – of course General Hospital Nation was also solidly behind Julexis and Fayden and we see how that is turning out, right?
