General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the least likely suspect killed Tom Baker (Don Harvey) – the killer is his own brother Seth Baker (Michael Rodrick). But why would Seth kill Tom in a filthy alley out back of shady Gene’s Branford Roadhouse?
The problem is Seth’s faith in Tom’s rehabilitation. Seth insisted to Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco (Roger Howarth) that Tom paid with years in prison at Pentonville and is rehabilitated and a danger to no one. Seth was drastically wrong.
Tom looked innocent when he said he took the job at GH because it was all he could find. After what Tom did at Christmas, now we know he was lurking waiting for a chance to violate Liz again. Tom is a disgusting rapist and prison taught him nothing.
GH writers are leading us to believe that Alexis Davis (Nancy Grahn) killed Tom. She believes it too since she was blackout drunk. Alexis remembers the knife in her hand and swinging it at Tom. Julian Jerome (William deVry) says maybe it wasn’t her.
Franco comes to confront Alexis on January 10th and demands she tell the cops that she was with Tom the night he died. Franco will show her the social media photo of her with Tom at the roadhouse on the night he died and them looking cozy and drunk.
Franco tells her the cops won’t believe him so he was thrilled to find the photo of her and Tom. Alexis lies and says it’s Photoshopped then kicks Franco out of her house but Alexis is in a tailspin now that there’s proof she was with Tom.
Alexis didn’t kill Tom but she’s the reason he died. Seth was frantic to find his brother. He confronted Liz and Franco when Tom went missing. Seth decided to go check out his brother’s favorite watering hole – Gene’s Roadhouse.
That led Seth to the alley where he saw his brother threatening Alexis with a knife and trying to rape her. Alexis ran off and threw down the knife and got away. But Seth was there, picked up the knife and confronted his brother for still being a sick pervert.
The brothers argued, Seth snapped and stabbed his brother. He was angry because he let Tom move in with him and defended him to everyone in town only to find out that Tom was the same violent sexual deviant that he was when he raped Liz.
After Seth killed Tom, he wiped the knife and threw it down then got busy covering his tracks. Seth has been pushing the PCPD towards Franco since he seems a likely suspect and is hoping nothing leads back to him. But it will.
The same social media hashtag that led Franco to Alexis will lead Franco to Seth. When Franco figures out it’s Seth, the brother assaults him and runs off. It’s only a matter of time before Franco makes it to the PCPD to show them the evidence.
But will Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) believe Franco? Will Franco confess the kidnap and caging of Tom to provide an alibi for himself? Can the PCPD get it right this time? Share your comments below on Seth’s murder of his brother Tom.
