General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Steve Burton’s (ex-Jason) return will bring some fantastic drama. He’s headed back to Port Charles and his character’s true identity will be a mystery at first. GH intends to play out a lengthy storyline that includes many important characters. There’ll be some serious ripple effects as this plot moves forward.
Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) mental health will likely play a role in the kickoff of all this. The timing is just too suspicious. Sam has been suffering from severe hallucinations and she’s worried that she might act out again. She’s also concerned about where his violent side is coming from. Sam just doesn’t understand why her mind would go to such a dark place.
Sonny (Maurice Benard) knows Sam wasn’t herself that day, but her guilt will still weigh on her. She’ll make a huge decision on August 22, which could mean that she’ll confess to the cops. However, Sam’s diagnosis and Sonny’s pardon will undoubtedly influence the situation. It’s tough to believe Sam will be treated like a hardened criminal. She was clearly ill!
Once all this gets cleared up, Sam and Jason (Billy Miller) will try to get their lives back on track. Jason will probably assure Sam that their worst days are behind them, but that’s just not true. Steve Burton’s character is definitely going to create issues.
Burton’s appearance could be a major trigger for Sam. When she sees Jason’s old face, she could assume that her mind is playing tricks on her again. Her fears could eventually become a reality. Griffin (Matt Cohen) warned that there could be lingering symptoms. Will Sam have another meltdown at some point?
After Sam sees old Jason, it could spark some sinister visions. Just like with Sonny, Sam could become confused about what’s real. She might view Burton’s character as a threat to her happiness with Jason. Sam could assume he’s a fraud who’s out to cause trouble for her family.
Of course, no one knows the details of Burton’s return yet. His character may be perfectly innocent. Still, Sam could easily try to harm him in her delusional state. Since current Jason will be keeping a close eye on Sam, he might stop her this time around. Could Jason be the one to save the day?
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Jason will be injured and rushed to surgery down the road. Sam will be a nervous wreck as she waits for news on his condition. Will Jason end up in harm’s way because of Sam? He could take the hit meant for Burton’s character, which would make sorting out this mystery even more complicated.
