General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Steve Burton’s (ex-Jason Morgan) return will give the ABC soap a tough task. They’ll have to explain how he has current Jason’s (Billy Miller) old face and why he’s suddenly showing up in Port Charles. GH fans are certainly curious about how all of this is going to play out.
General Hospital writers undoubtedly came up with a good reason for Burton’s character to be in PC. Of course, deeper reasons could emerge down the road. This storyline is sure to be layered and complex.
The most intriguing part could be explaining Burton’s resemblance to pre-plastic surgery Jason. They may have their work cut out for them as they weave this tale. There will inevitably be some history changes. That’s a given when you’re dealing with a crazy plot like this.
Nevertheless, there’s a way for GH to make everything come together. General Hospital spoilers from numerous sources suggest that Burton’s character and Miller’s character may be identical twins. That means Susan Moore (Gail Ramsey) might’ve given birth to two baby boys. One child obviously went to Alan (Stuart Damon) and Monica Quatermaine (Leslie Charleson).
If there was a twin, what happened to him? That’s a mystery for General Hospital to slowly unravel. Burton looks like Jason did before the accident with Ava’s car, so it makes sense that they’d take the twin brother route. There’s a good chance Jason and faux Jason will both be in the dark at first. They may struggle to figure out exactly what ties them to each other.
General Hospital will also have to reveal which one of these men is the real Jason Morgan. Steve Burton was recently sporting Jason’s usual style on set, so that could be a clue. Burton certainly has plenty of supporters on his side. However, Miller has made the role his own and many fans are hoping he’ll continue to play Jason.
It’s clear that we’ve got two excellent versions, but which option will the show go with? It should be interesting to see the twists and turns that lead us to the truth. Whatever the case, the twin idea is a logical setup for this story. It could provide some great drama for Burton’s character, Jason, Sam (Kelly Monaco), Sonny (Maurice Benard) and more.
