General Hospital (GH) spoilers say the Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) mystery will carry on through May sweeps and the culmination will come in May sweeps when General Hospital reveals that Alexandra Devane (Finola Hughes) has taken her twin’s place in Port Charles. Anna needs rescued and that means Valentin will be there to play hero for her.
General Hospital fans know, unfortunately, that Nina Clay Cassadine (Michelle Stafford) is at a breaking point with Valentin and Anna’s connection and this could be the final straw for the new Valentin-Nina marriage. Valentin thinks, as of now, that Anna has made peace with him because she feels guilty about their night of passion. Anna even held Valentin’s hand and worked up some tears about their past.
It’s not like Anna to fake emotion like that and indeed, it’s not Anna that’s doing it – it’s her twin Alexandra Devane (also played by Finola Hughes). When Valentin told Anna about them sleeping together, Anna was stunned because she has no idea what he was talking about. That’s because General Hospital spoilers claim it was Alex that slept with Valentin when she was working for her fake mom Charlotte and Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).
Anna said she was going to go sort this out and look into things and left Port Charles – and Anna never came back! Anna went to find Alexandra to ask her if she was toying with Valentin back in the day. Unfortunately, that investigation led Anna into Cesar and Alex’s trap. It seems that Alex has either gone dark or is totally under control of Faison who is forcing her to do dark things.
General Hospital spoilers tease that Faison has Anna and is holding her captive and it’s Alex in Port Charles living her life and eavesdropping on Valentin. In fact, it might be Nina that discovers that Valentin has been tapped. He had the watch fake Anna gave him checked out, but his guy apparently didn’t examine the strap where Alex implanted the listening device. And then Valentin lied to Nina and said he bought the watch.
But Nina figured it out on Friday’s General Hospital epsiode when she discovered the watch box in the trash alongside the envelope that contained the note. Nina also figured out the reference in the note about time healing things was about the watch. Nina now knows her husband lied to her again about Anna and she’s furious. It seems likely that Nina will steal the watch and destroy it.
If Nina does this, she could discover the listening device and show it to her husband to drive a wedge between him and Anna and show him that he can’t trust the WSB spy. This starts Valentin unraveling why Anna doesn’t seem like herself and why she got emotional with him and then screwed him over. General Hospital viewers know that Valentin is smart and it won’t be too long until he sorts out that it’s Alex, not Anna.
Once Valentin knows Alex has taken Anna’s place in Port Charles, his immediate concern will be finding Anna and getting her away from Faison. Valentin will play the hero and swoop in to save her from Faison. This will infuriate Faison who finally had Anna all to himself with no one any the wiser. Valentin might even have to kill Faison to save Anna – and that’s definitely something Valentin would do.
