General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was gut shot by the marauders trying to steal the Chimera tube for whomever Alex Devane Marick (Finola Hughes) was working and now he’s in critical condition. Nina Clay Cassadine (Michelle Stafford) cried over him but Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) pulled her away.
Nathan wants to know more about who the men were and why they came into the Nurses Ball guns ablazing, but Nina just wants to be by her husband’s side at GH. Unfortunately, Nina isn’t the only lady in town with her eye on Valentin. Nina won’t be happy to find Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) pacing the halls at General Hospital waiting to hear if Valentin pulled through his surgery.
Things get even worse when Alex is there too wanting to find out if Valentin will survive. Of the two twins, Alex seems to have the hots for Valentin more than Anna, but they are double trouble together because of their complicated and twisted history with Valentin. Nina will be less than thrilled that a double dose of Devane is lurking at General Hospital near Valentin.
Not only that, but Alex was the one that manhandled Nina and face planted her on a table and will remind Nina she can do it again if Nina tries to push her to leave. Nina will have no choice but to be stuck with the Devane doppelgangers while they wait for news about how Valentin’s surgery went and to find out his prognosis. The Devanes seem set to ruin a great reunion between the Cassadines.
Valentin sang his heart out to Nina at the Nurses Ball to prove he loved her but then Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) talked Nina out of going after Valentin to make up. But then Valentin went a step further and literally threw himself in front of a gun to save Nina and prove she’s the one he wants. Nina and Valentin should be having a tender reunion after his surgery.
Instead, she’s got to deal with Anna and Alex – and her jealousy at the two beautiful women from Valentin’s past. Will Nina be able to keep them out of Valentin’s hospital room or will Anna and Alex push their way past her and ignore his wife’s request that they stay away? Of course. Neither Anna or Alex will listen to Nina as neither respects her.
One thing these women do have in common is that none of the three want to see Valentin’s life ruined again. That means Nina, Anna and Alex will try and keep secret that the Chimera showed up in Port Charles because Valentin sold it to Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). Given Helena’s shady background, they can leave it open ended as to how Helena got her hands on the toxin.
