General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) will be crushed when Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) wins the custody battle in a shocking verdict. Then the custody situation gets even more twisted when Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier) gets pulled into this messy storyline.
On Tuesday’s GH, Dr Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) refused to play dirty with his ethics to help Lulu and Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) manipulate the evaluation of Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez). It will be Dr Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) that is assigned the case by the court.
Andre has no reason to like Valentin and a lot of reasons to dislike him given Andre’s close ties to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Andre helped Anna recover memories of Valentin and he knows about Valentin’s shady past with the WSB and Anna herself. But Andre is a consummate professional.
He won’t let what he learned from Anna about Valentin affect his judgment in the case. Andre sits down with Charlotte to find out about her history with Valentin and how she feels about both her biological parents – Lulu and Valentin. The problem is, Lulu has been over-eager with Charlotte.
Lulu upset Charlotte telling her she’s her real mom just after Charlotte found out Claudette Beaulieu (Bree Williamson) was dead. That traumatized Charlotte and then showing up at Crimson for a surprise visit set Charlotte off again. The poor kid has no bond with Lulu and her mom tried to force it.
Andre will testify at the custody hearing and many will be angry at him for his evaluation. The bottom line is Charlotte needs Valentin for stability but also the chance to get to know her mother gradually in a controlled manner. Andre will see that taking Charlotte from Valentin is a terrible idea.
Since Valentin has no criminal convictions on his record and everything bad Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) presented to the court was hearsay, the court can’t hold any of that against Valentin. Plus, Valentin was an unwilling parent just as Lulu was and has been trying to protect Charlotte.
Port Charles will be rocked when the verdict comes in giving Valentin sole physical and legal custody and Lulu is stuck with visitation – and probably supervised visitation at that. Lulu will be crushed but immediately after the verdict comes down, Valentin reaches out to Lulu in kindness.
This verdict will upset many but could prove an opportunity for naughty Nelle the jobless kidney donor. A brand new promo shows Nelle approaching Nina Cassadine (Michelle Stafford) about a job as Charlotte’s nanny. Nelle does have experience with kids given her past as a teacher’s assistant.
Nelle is a solid candidate to be a Cassadine nanny and Nina has bonded with her previously. Nina feels sorry for Nelle and has helped her out in the past with new clothes from the Crimson closet for Nelle’s new job as Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) assistant. Nina may help Nelle again.
Nina and Valentin both know what it’s like to be the town pariah, so they may both take pity on Nelle and take her in so long as she proves loyal to them. Will Nelle go from a shabby apartment to a suite at the Cassadine castle? Will Nina defend her decision to hire Nelle to Carly?
