Danny was mad at McGarrett. He believed that McGarrett had betrayed his trust when he went into Danny’s office without asking because he was looking for a pen. But Danny hadn’t really been upset about the pen. He knew that McGarrett rarely brought in his own supplies and that he was always stealing someone’s pen. So Danny was actually upset that McGarrett had also looked at something that was personal to Danny. Danny had a list named ‘Things I Like’ and it had been important to him.

However, the guys had gotten into fight about the list in front of HPD cadets and so the guys should have been a little embarrassed that they fought in front of everyone. They were grown-ups and had been on the job too long to come off as hothead rookies yet this list kept coming back up and so McGarrett had wanted answers. He had looked at the list and it hadn’t seemed like that Danny wanted to keep it to himself. At least not when it was written on the back of a receipt and it had been out in the open.

So McGarrett had wanted to know why the list was import to Danny and he had been surprised when Danny hadn’t want to tell him. Yet, arguing on the other hand was something Danny didn’t have a problem with. They had gone back and forth about trust and whether what McGarrett did was right though the list in itself had merely been activities. Almost as if Danny was planning something like maybe a trip and or things to do with his kids when he had them with him. And so the guys did find themselves stuck.

They had argued while they were at HPD and would have gone on arguing if McGarrett hadn’t found Sang Min at his house. Sang Min had been a notable criminal mastermind and he had been enemy to Five-0 for years before they came to a truce. Though the last time that McGarrett had seen Min had been at Min’s trial when he had been framed for murder and Five-0 had helped get him off. So McGarrett had been curious to find out why Min had been broken into his own, but it all became clear when he saw the blood and realized that Min had been injured.

Min had unfortunately been shot and he even had a colorful story for the doctor that McGarrett had brought in to fix him up. But ultimately what happened to Min was a little more serious than he was letting on. He had said that he was able a family in need and that he had been led into an ambush. So Min got shot trying to flee the scene and his contact had been killed however the guys had been out by the shipyard because they knew someone was being brought in illegal and had most likely hoped to profit from it.

Yet, the guy they had hoped to profit from had been Desmond Abati. Abati was one the FBI Most Wanted list because he was a terrorist and so Min brought one of the world dangerous’ men to Hawaii. So of course Min tried to help himself and revealed all he knew though from what he told them and what they had figured out themselves – Five-0 learned that Abati was working with Nadim Tahan. Tahan was also of interest to the FBI and that was because he had once talked about a possible terrorist camp where men would be trained.

So Five-0 pretty much got the idea of what Abati was doing in their neck of the woods and they hadn’t liked having a possible terrorist training camp so close to them, but with some ingenuity they were able to find where the camp would be and that had been more than enough for McGarrett. McGarrett had issues orders for who would be working on what and he had chosen Danny to go with them to check out the camp. Though the terrorist training camp had no access roads leading to it or away from it.

Therefore, the guys had to fly to spot and parachute. But Danny hadn’t been happy about that and that had been just another thing for him to gripe about. So the guys weren’t honestly doing their best to work together and it wasn’t surprising that they had gotten caught by Abati’s men however the men didn’t kill them and had led them back to the camp as hostages. And so McGarrett and Danny had fought their way out of the situation and they had ended up blowing up most of the camp.

It was just a raw deal that Abati got away and that the guys found themselves stuck near a bomb that had already been set to explode. However, McGarrett had been hopeful at first because he thought he could thought he could stop yet there was no stopping and it had been rigged with the least stable components that any bomber could find. So the guys had tried moving the bomb. They had it in the back of a truck and they slowly tried driving their way out of the forest because they needed to communicate with Five-0.

As they were driving, though, they started to talk. McGarrett once more demanded what was so important about that list and Danny had said it was a list for after he retired. Yet, McGarrett didn’t really get that. He had told Danny that he was still young and that retirement seemed a little out there seeing as Danny had never once mentioned before. So Danny explained that he had gotten the idea from his daughter’s school project and that it made him thank about retirement because he knew that would be better for his kids.

Danny has two kids and one was still young enough to believe Danny was Superman. Though Danny told McGarrett that his son would grow up and one day learn that Danny could get hurt out on the job. So that’s why he wanted to retire. Danny hadn’t wanted his kids to be scared and he knew that he had already put in twenty years on the job. And as the guys were talking, the bomb began to destabilize and so they had been forced to leave it out in the open while they hid behind the truck. McGarrett had said that truck’s engine could help keep the safe and he was right.

But McGarrett had also made Danny promise to name his restaurant Steve. So McGarrett was still holding onto that and he was even laughing about it after the rest of Five-0 managed to capture Abati with Min’s help however McGarrett later found out that the bomb that Abati had planned had been set up to bomb Five-0. And so their enemies are coming after them.

THE END!
