Ian Somerhalder’s Career Ends After ‘The Vampire Diaries’ - Can’t Find Any Roles In Hollywood After Playing Damon Salvatore?

Ian Somerhalder is having a hard time letting go of the fact that ‘The Vampire Diaries’ is about to end. That’s because he has nothing lined up after the series finale. In fact, Ian is looking back at the first several seasons of the hit CW supernatural drama as he struggles to come to terms with the show’s ending.

Ian opened up about his character Damon Salvatore and how much he’s changed over the last several seasons. Some fans can’t help but wonder if Ian is trying to hang on to the show one last time before he has to say good-bye forever.

Ian told Entertainment Weekly, “For me, season one was just the pinnacle for Damon. That was the apex of the ability of this character to shine through story. I loved a lot of that stuff. That stuff was really fun. All the stuff with Damon and Vicki, the dancing in the Salvatore house.”
