Kate Middleton feels like a very lucky to be a princess these days. In fact, the Duchess of Cambridge herself says that she’s a member of the British royal family simply because she has her husband Prince William to take care of her.
According to reports, Kate Middleton met with families at the East Anglia’s Children Hospice in Norfolk. She spent several hours there and spoke with one family that she met before. Mother Micala Benton says that Kate spoke to her 4-year-old daughter Daisy and told her what like was like as a princess.
“She recognized us, as we have met her before. She was quite chatty,” Michala told People Magazine. “My daughter Daisy asked Kate what it was like to be a real princess, and Kate said she’s very lucky that she’s very well looked after by her husband. Molly gave her a picture she had made at preschool.”
It’s not surprising that Kate Middleton’s comments aren’t sitting very well with royal critics. Many critics say that Kate’s trophy wife comments once again prove that she lives a very cushioned lifestyle. As the Duchess of Cambridge, she has a team of assistants, nannies and chefs who take care of everything for her. And while that’s certainly expected for someone who is married to a royal, many insiders think that Kate could put in a little more effort into her work.
Kate has long been criticized for being a royal trophy wife who has done the bare minimum as far as her charity work and royal engagements are concerned. In fact, she put in the least amount of hours of work last year compared to the rest of the royal family. That’s why so many critics can’t understand why 35-year-old Kate Middleton would tell a 4-year-old girl that she is being looked after by her husband.
So far, Buckingham Palace have not made any clarifications to Kate’s comments. Is Kate suggesting that she has a well-pampered lifestyle? Is Prince William the one doing all of the legwork in their marriage? Or does she simply expect William and the royal family to take care of her? That’s what royal fans want to know.
