Kate Middleton Ignored At Garden Party, Lancashire Mother Preferred Princess Eugenie

Kate Middleton was ignored by a Lancashire mother who instead urged Princess Eugenie to take up a new royal cause on her behalf. New reports say that a mother named Becky Ramsey from Lancashire, England attended a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace. She was invited by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents to talk about her son Dylan. He drowned in a swimming accident nearly six years ago.

Becky Ramsey attended the event on behalf of her 13-year-old son, Dylan. One of the reasons why Becky approached Princess Eugenie is because she has been tirelessly campaigning for better water safety education. She also wants changes to the current laws. Luckily, she managed to spend some one-on-one time with Princess Eugenie and that’s when she told her about her son’s story.

Becky even told local radio station 2BR, “I’ll know Eugenie and Prince Andrew know my story and about Dylan. Dylan will be watching down with a little smile on his face, knowing he’s made it to royalty. If Princess Eugenie takes my campaign to heart – who knows. It would be brilliant if she did this and that and backed us. We just don’t know what’s going to happen. I’d like to think that she’d always remember mine and Dylan’s story.”

Of course a lot of royal fans can’t help but wonder why Becky would approach Princess Eugenie and not someone like Kate Middleton instead. After all, Kate was at the same garden party at Buckingham Palace, too. Yet Becky chose to speak with Eugenie instead. There’s a good possibility that Becky simply thought Eugenie was someone more approachable than the Duchess.

Plus, both Princess Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice want to prove to the rest of the royal family that they have what it takes to be full-time royals as well. They want to make just as many headlines as Kate Middleton does and by taking up this new royal cause, there’s a good chance that it might happen for Princess Eugenie. She’s tired of being in Kate’s shadow and with this new cause, she’ll finally have the spotlight on her.

So far Princess Eugenie herself has not made any comments about the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents or if she plans on taking up the new royal cause, too. In the meantime, don’t forget to check back with CDL for all the latest news and updates on the royal family right here!
