Kate Middleton To Mark St. Patrick’s Day With Shamrocks And Irish Guards: Work-Allergic Royal Dreading Parade?

St. Patrick’s Day is going to be a busy one for Kate Middleton this year. New reports say the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will help mark St. Patrick’s Day by presenting shamrocks to members of the Irish Guards during London’s annual parade on Friday, March 17th. Kate Middleton took over the responsibility of presenting shamrocks from Princess Anne back in 2012.

Kate Middleton shocked fans when she didn’t attend the St. Patrick’s Day parade in 2016. It was the first time in nearly 100 years that a member of the Royal Family missed the event. Everyone couldn’t help but wonder why the Duchess would skip such an important annual event.

It’s not like she was pregnant or terribly sick last year. To make things worse, she failed to give a reason for her absence. Many critics were appalled by unprofessional Kate’s behavior. Yet there were reports suggesting that Kate deliberately chose to stay at home in Norfolk with her two children Prince George and Princess Charlotte instead.

But this year, Kate Middleton has no choice but to attend the parade whether she likes it or not. That’s because the Duke and Duchess are scheduled to fly out to Paris for their two-day tour right after the shamrock presentation. Queen Elizabeth would undoubtedly be upset if Kate didn’t show up to the St. Patrick’s Day parade or missed out on her trip to Paris for that matter.

Then again, Kate Middleton knows that she can’t use her children as an excuse to get out of public appearances and royal engagements forever. After all, she has a team of royal nannies and a full-time staff that can help with Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s each and every need. And it’s not like Kate Middleton has to put in full-time hours every week. That’s why so many of her critics say there’s no reason for her to pull out of her scheduled engagements as it’s part of her job.
