Kelly Clarkson And Blake Shelton FaceTime: Should Gwen Stefani Be Worried?

Should Gwen Stefani be concerned that Blake Shelton is FaceTiming Kelly Clarkson? And she should be concerned that the first American Idol winner is joining NBC’s The Voice? However, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton are under the same management. So, it would make sense as to why he would have her join the series.

Kelly Clarkson will be joining NBC’s The Voice as a coach for Season 14, as first reported via Variety. The pop star will be sitting alongside longtime coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. A fourth coach for the upcoming season has not been announced. Jennifer Hudson and Miley Cyrus have been confirmed to join the regular coaches this coming fall for the show’s 13th season.

Clarkson was previously in talks about joining The Voice for the upcoming season. She was asked by the show multiple times in the past and expressed interest, but was unable to fit the production cycle into her schedule. Clarkson was also approached to join American Idol as judge for the relaunch on ABC. Now that she’s dedicated to The Voice, it’s doubtful that she will return to the American Idol set. She did appear as guest judge during the show’s 15th and final season when it was originally on Fox.

But, the big question is should Gwen Stefani be nervous about Blake Shelton FaceTiming Kelly Clarkson? When the two musicians started dating, they would constantly FaceTime each other. It looks like he has replaced his FaceTiming sessions with Gwen for Kelly. But, have no fear. It looks like Blake hasn’t moved on from Gwen. He’s just so excited to have Kelly finally on the show.

He made the announcement on his social media accounts. Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson made the announcement during a Facebook Live chat on Thursday, May 11. He says that the producers of The Voice have been trying to get Kelly on the show for several years. It makes sense since she knows the ins and outs of auditioning for a music competition.

She was previously Team Blake’s guest advisor when he was married to Miranda Lambert on Season 2.
“I’m finally not knocked up and I can join your show,” Clarkson joked in the Facebook chat.
“I know,” Shelton said. “Oh my gosh. Will you stop getting pregnant every five seconds please?”

Blake Shelton is clearly in a happy relationship with Gwen Stefani even if it makes us sick sometimes. Kelly Clarkson is happily married to Brandon Blackstock, with whom she shares two children, River Rose and Remington Alexander. Since these two aren’t in faltering relationships, it’s unlikely that their relationship will become more than just friends.
