Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been separated for some time and in the middle of a “trial separation.” Remember that girls’ weekend that Kim Kardashian had with her sister Kourtney and their closest friends? That went down while Kanye West was reportedly hiding out in the mountains. He was staying there to get his head clear and to work on his album. Well, there’s more brewing below the surface and the two were also working on their marriage issues.
Kimye’s marriage has been turbulent for the past few months. Kanye West was admitted to the hospital in the middle of his world tour. He was suffering a mental breakdown back in November. Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian was still struggling with the aftermath of her Paris robbery that happened in October. They were both going through something personal around the same time. Yet, they both felt lonelier more than ever. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West didn’t lean on each other during this difficult time. They decided to take some time apart instead.
According to recent reports, the couple couldn’t help one another. Kim Kardashian felt like she couldn’t support Kanye West because she was still recovering from being robbed at gunpoint. And she feels that he wasn’t there when she needed, because he was too busy focusing on his own struggles. Their problems are said to have taken a toll on their marriage.
According to an inside source who spoke to Life & Style, things are so bad for Kimye that they secretly went through a “trial separation.” They wanted to see what it was like to live their lives without one another. Kanye West removed his social media accounts and skipped the Met Gala to be by himself. The insider claims that he hasn’t been himself in months. He spent six weeks working on his new album in Wyoming as Kim carried on with her life in L.A. She also watched after their two children, North and Saint.
Kanye West just wanted a “break” from their marriage and Hollywood in general. He’s been seen back home now in L.A. The insider said he’s “trying to make it work,” but this separation has not removed the problems between them. Kim wants to make this marriage work because she doesn’t want a third divorce on her record. So, the couple is heading down to the Bahamas for Kanye West’s 40th birthday.
Sources told E! News that Kimye brought along North and Saint along with their closest friends and family. While his birthday is not until the 8th, they’re hoping this early celebration will bring them closer together. According to the sources, they rented out the best villa in all of the Bahamas. They plan to drink at their private pool while their kids hang out in their own play area.
This comes after Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s three-year wedding anniversary, which they reportedly celebrated last week. The couple hasn’t been spotted together in months, let alone on a vacation, so maybe this will do them some good.
