Gunnar and Scarlett pull into the gas station. Gunnar asks her if she ever just wants to keep driving and leave their life behind. She tried once and he talked to her out of it. On the gas bump, a small TV plays a gossip show whose headlines talk about Scarlett out and about with Gunnar and her baby bump!

Hallie is in the studio singing. Juliette comes in. She looks annoyed. When they are done singing, Juliette scolds them for recording the wrong demo. Hallie storms off after telling her they finished the correct demo song an hour ago. Avery chases after Hallie. She is crying. George broke up with her the night before, telling her that there isn’t room for him in her life.

Maddie is in Daphne’s room when she discovers that Liv was behind the meme that went viral online. Daphne yells, telling Liv she has 5 seconds to get out or she is going to call the cops. Daphne chases after Liv, who takes off for the door.

Deacon, Avery and Juliette listen in the studio to a copy of Hallie’s demo. Juliette sings its praises. Deacon needs her to slow down. Deacon thinks Hallie is a roots performer, not a pop singer with commercial songs. Avery can see both of their sides. Juliette storms out.

Scarlett and Gunnar are shopping when they are approached by fans who want to know when she is due. Deacon comes home to find out about Daphne and Liv, who made the GIF. Deacon tells her an apology isn’t enough. He takes her phone for a month. Maddie doesn’t think it is enough of a punishment.

At breakfast, Daphne is angry that she doesn’t have her phone. Maddie sits next to her taking calls for interviews while Deacon makes pancakes. Meanwhile, Juliette accuses Avery for stabbing her in the back when he didn’t support her in front of Deacon. Avery tells her she needs to support Hallie who has broken up with George. Juliette agrees that Hallie should record her own style of music.

Juliette meets Hallie at the restaurant. Hallie thanks her for supporting her music. Juliette didn’t realize she had already talked to Avery. Juliette wanted to be the one to break the news.

Scarlett meets with a reporter for lunch who confesses that she had an affair with Damien. The situation becomes uncomfortable for Scarlett when she is asked if she too fell for his charm. Scarlett denies it. She asks Scarlett if he is the father of her baby. Scarlett refuses to answer as the reporter tries to get it out of her.

Hallie records her song in the studio while Avery watches with a smile. Juliette watches with jealousy. Deacon arrives home that night. Daphne has fallen asleep in Rayna’s closet, holding her clothes.

Gunnar knocks on the door of Scarlett’s. The media is buzzing about her being pregnant with Damien’s baby.
Juliette is watching TV at home. Avery shows up. Juliette tells him that Hallie isn’t who she says she is. She has him snowed. Avery is offended. She warns him.

Deacon and the girls sit and eat in silence. He wants them all to talk. They end up fighting. Daphne runs to her room. Maddie goes out for a while.

The next morning, Daphne lays in bed while Deacon talks through the door. Maddie is sleeping. No-one is happy. Deacon leaves feeling defeated. He heads to Scarlett’s, who is devastated over all the news reports. She cries and tells Deacon she is having a girl. A girl, who will grow up in a world where she will  have a lot more to face than Scarlett’s current problem. Deacon tells her that she will be a great mom. Just love her.

Maddie goes into Daphne’s room. She apologizes to her. She cries and tells Daphne that she misses Mom. They hug.
In the studio, Juliette watches Avery and Hallie interact. She gets angry and tells Juliette that she sees her for what she is. She isn’t buying the nice girl act.

Meanwhile, Daphne and Maddie go to find Liv. She doesn’t want to leave her friends and come back with them. Deacon comes home to find the girls getting along, finally. They record a song together while Deacon watches with a smile.
