A homeless vet walks in traffic with a sign begging. He approaches a Mercedes, breaks the window with a gun and gets in the driver’s side. He hits the driver in the face and tells him to put on his seat belt. He then speeds away. Beale is in the shooting range and Sam enters. Beale says he hasn’t been able to shot his gun since he killed that man. Sam offers encouragement. The team gets word that the VA Administrator, Robert Bryant, was kidnapped in his own car that morning. The VA has asked the team for their help.

Sam and Callen head to Robert’s house to look for clues but an FBI agent refuses to let them in. Kensi and Marty head to Robert’s office at the VA just as the man who kidnapped Robert yells at a clerk that all of the veterans who are waiting need to be seen by a doctor. He dumps a bag of cash on the counter and leave. Marty sends a photo of the man with the cash back to the lab to see if they can get an ID on him. Kensi questions Robert’s assistant and she says Robert has been faking the books to make it look like they are meeting their goals so Robert can earn bonuses.

Eric researches the photo and is able to find out it is a veteran, Langston, who matches the description of the man who kidnapped Robert. The team gets the GPS coordinates of Robert’s car and head to the veteran’s cemetery where it is parked. The car is empty but they find Robert tied to a pole. Sam and Callen find Langston’s house ransacked but he is not there. The do come across Sterling and Rodrick. Robert is not seriously hurt but acts like a really jerk. The FBI arrests him due to finding several patient records in his home.

Hetty, Sterling and Rodrick know Langston from her time in Vietnam. They were all on the same team. They got worried about Langston about a week ago when they found out he was diagnosed with Agent Orange. Langston is spotted at pawn shop and the team heads out. When they get there he is gone but he had shot up the store.

The clerk says he has never seen the guy before but a street camera has seen Langston enter the store at least two other times. The clerk, Yaniv, calls his lawyer and they refuse to talk to the team. They get a warrant to check the stores cameras and bank records. Marty and Kensi see a bridal veil in the pawn shop but she gets tearful because she had hoped Granger would have been able to walk her down the aisle. The team watches the pawn shop video and the clerk was working the day Langston came in the day before the shooting. He lied about knowing him.

Marty and Kensi arrive at Yaniv’s house with the search warrant. As they wait to talk with him his assistant starts shooting at them. Sam and Callen arrive as back up just as Sterling and Rodrick pull up. They begin shooting and Sam kills the assistant. Yaniv runs out a secret exit and the team finds Langston who is hurt but can walk. Langston tells the team Yaniv got his key. Langston leads them to an old semi that used to contain $40 million in gold bars but they are now gone. Yaniv took it all. They gold is left over from their days in Vietnam.
