Reports indicate that Prince Charles allegedly had a fling with ‘bubbly blonde entrepreneur’ Sue Townsend. Charles was with Sue while he was still married to Princess Diana and, of course, seeing Camilla on the side.
Reports say that Charles and Sue had a close relationship two months before his Princess Diana divorce. Sue was single at the time and met Charles while she was working at his Duchy Originals organic food business.
Sue herself refused to confirm the reports that she was romantically involved with Charles, but she didn’t deny them either. According to the Daily Mail, Sue told Prince Charles biographer Sally Bedell Smith, “I don’t think we’ll go down that road, really. I used to spend quite a bit of time with the Prince, so there we are. I don’t think I’ll go into it. I don’t mind if you write that, ‘Yes, we were close, but it was a long time ago.’”
Royal insiders say that Camilla absolutely exploded when she heard about Charles’ relationship with Sue. If that weren’t bad enough, a lot of sources say that Sue was described as a much younger and prettier Camilla look-alike.
Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the alleged affair. Of course, the only person who knows the truth is Prince Charles himself. Still, a lot of royal observers can’t help but point out that Camilla Parker Bowles might be getting a taste of her own medicine. After all, it’s been long reported that she the third person in Prince Charles’ marriage with Princess Diana.
Even though sources say that Charles and Camilla’s marriage has had its fair share of ups and downs, Camilla hates that Sue Townsend’s name is in the headlines again. The timing couldn’t be worse, especially since there’s a possibility that Charles might be made King of England sooner rather than later. With Queen Elizabeth’s health in question, many believe that 2017 will finally be the year Charles is made King. Both Charles and Camilla don’t want a huge scandal that might or might not have happened so many years ago giving them negative publicity right now.
