Are Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles having a marital crisis? That might be the case, as the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall were looking rather tense after their dinner date in London this past week.
Eyewitnesses say that Prince Charles looked like he wanted to be anywhere but at The British Asian Trust event with his wife Camilla Parker Bowles. Apparently, he was keeping his distance from Camilla all throughout the night. The two were even spotted looking anything but relaxed after the charity dinner. At one point, Charles tugged at his bow tie and fiddled with his fingers while the Duchess shook hands with several dignitaries.
Royal fans aren’t surprised that Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles are going through a rough patch right now. After all, Charles is gearing up to be the next King of England. Plus, several reports indicate that both Charles and Camilla were spotted talking to their lawyers at Kensington Palace over the state of their marriage last week. If that weren’t enough, Camilla has allegedly been taking weekend breaks away from Charles and the rest of the royal family just so she could get away from her problems.
Does this mean that Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles are having a marital crisis? No one knows for sure. Although royal fans know the truth will come out one way or another. With Queen Elizabeth’s health concerns, Charles knows that he’ll be taking the throne sooner rather than later. He’s also looking to make some major changes within the monarchy. He wants to be seen as a more hands-on, modern royal. Both he and Camilla were also seen taking on a new leadership royal back in December. The Duke and Duchess led the family’s church trip on Christmas Day. They’ve also been taking on more charity work and royal engagements.
Could Charles and Camilla be feeling stressed with all the changes that might be coming their way? That might be the case. Of course, only Charles and Camilla know what the real truth is behind closed doors. At this point, though, insiders say it’s doubtful that Camilla would leave Charles, especially since he’s so close to being king.
