For anyone still in doubt that Prince Harry is extremely serious about Meghan Markle, here is your proof – he is reportedly already inviting Meghan’s parents to London to meet Prince Charles.
Harry has reportedly called over Meghan’s parents, Doria and Thomas, for an ‘informal’ get together with Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles so all the parents could have a little chat, and ahem, approve of each other’s families before any official marriage questions are asked.
Buzz of an impending engagement between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have risen to an all-time high, and stories like this are only going to increase the rampant speculation. The truth is that Prince Harry’s commitment to Meghan Markle was already crystal clear, and it’s doubtful that even if the parents didn’t like each other, it would derail this relationship. However, the royal family does have a different set of protocols and rules that they follow in terms of families they associate with, and Prince Harry has gotten significantly better than his brother at following those protocols and rules.
The purported meeting is set to take place after Easter, and if it all works out well, then we can likely expect an engagement announcement over the summer or in the fall – just in line with predictions. Of course, there are also other royal traditions that need to be followed before the engagement and marriage can take place, but first and foremost, Meghan Markle will need to completely give up her acting career and move to England. There’s no way a princess of England will be allowed to traverse all over the world and fake kiss other people for a living. But then again, Prince William traverses all over the world and real flirts with people, seemingly also for a living.
Jokes aside, if the royal family didn’t like Meghan Markle or her parents, there’s likely little Harry could do to change their minds – which is why these meetings are so important, and why Meghan Markle is clearly so willing to appease them.
