Princess Beatrice is determined to outpace Kate Middleton, as she just completed a 5K charity race in London’s Hyde Park on Saturday, May 13. The young royal ran for a good cause by participating in the Lady Garden 5K in an effort to raise funds and awareness for female reproductive cancers.
According to reports, Princess Beatrice was spotted crossing the finish line in a pink top, black leggings and grey sneakers. Of course, Princess Beatrice is not the only member of the royal family showing up for charity races and sporting events these days. Just last month, Kate Middleton, Prince William and Prince Harry were all on hand for the London Marathon. But unlike Princess Beatrice, the three young royals didn’t participate in the race. Instead, they stood on the sidelines and cheered racers during the grueling 26-mile race.
Princess Beatrice has made it pretty clear that whatever Kate Middleton can do, she can do better. At least, that’s what she’s trying to show her critics. While the Duchess of Cambridge looked picture-perfect during the London Marathon with her flawless hair, makeup and outfit, Princess Beatrice crossed the finish line of the Lady Garden 5K sweaty and tired. In other words, she wants to prove to everyone that she’s a royal that does more than just pose for photographs and smile when it’s necessary.
Then again, there might be another reason why Princess Beatrice is trying to outpace Kate Middleton. Both she and her sister Princess Eugenie are tired of being in Kate’s spotlight. They feel as though they should be getting the same royal treatment Kate Middleton has been enjoying these last five years. After all, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are the ones with the royal blood. Yet they feel like they are always being cast aside. Kate, on the other hands, is the royal family darling who always gets preferential treatment wherever she goes.
For Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, they are still struggling to find their place in the royal family. Even though they have the same royal privileges that Prince William and Prince Harry have, they want to get the same amount of attention that Kate Middleton gets in the headlines. That’s why Princess Beatrice is determined to do whatever it takes to make that happen.
