Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans might be dating now, according to a recent report from Star Magazine. Who predicted this weeks ago? CDL did.
Star’s source claims that while Scarlett Johansson’s official ‘date’ to the Oscars was her agent, she spent most of the night with Chris Evans, her Captain America and Avengers co-star (even though they’ve worked on several other films together). The source adds, “Chris and Scarlett both asked to be seated next to each other at the ceremony. It sure looked like something was going on – he was whispering in her ear, she kept blushing.”
ScarJo blushing over a guy? It’s hard to picture that, right? However, both Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson are newly single, having just left their respective relationships two weeks from each other. Chris broke up with Jenny Slate, his most recent girlfriend, and Scarlett announced that she had split from her ex-husband, Romain Dauriac. So has the timing finally worked for these two long-time friends and co-stars?
Some people are skeptical of a possible relationship blooming between the two, citing the fact that they’ve been friends for so long and that their relationship has always just been based on friendship and a somewhat asexual vibe. However, others claim that Scarlett and Chris have never really been single at the same time, and if you add in the fact that they have played romantic interests in films before and that they are very, VERY attractive (even by Hollywood standards), then you end up with a reasonable shot at seeing such a romance play out.
Of course, one also has to consider that in the event of a Chris Evans/Scarlett Johansson relationship sparking, it will likely be a short-term thing and more of a rebound for both of them than anything serious. Then again, who really knows? Nobody thought Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis would end up getting married and having children after they began dating in a somewhat-similar scenario (i.e. as a ‘rebound’ relationship).
