Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have been dating for six months now and according to a new report in Life & Style magazine, Taylor has offered to fly Joe Alwyn’s parents on her private jet to Nashville so they can spend time with and bond with Taylor’s parents.
Taylor Swift’s fans were shocked to learn that the pop star had moved to London last fall to be with struggling actor Joe Alwyn after the two were introduced by mutual friends at a concert. For the past few months, Taylor has spent a lot of time with Joe Alwyn’s parents, Elizabeth and Richard Alwyn, even electing to spend Father’s Day with his family in London.
According to the magazine, things are going so well between Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn that she has asked Joe’s parents to fly to Nashville on her private jet so they can spend time with her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift. Sources told the magazine, “Taylor is extremely close to her family and she loves Joe’s parents. She really wants them all to get to know each other.” Taylor is apparently hoping that the meeting will go so well that Joe’s parents will give their “seal of approval” and the couple can take the next step in their budding relationship.
The Grammy winner is also hoping to impress Joe’s family, whose mother is a psychotherapist and his father is a documentary filmmaker. “His (Joe’s) folks are low-key and aren’t used to the glamourous Hollywood lifestyle, but Taylor is going out of her way to impress them,” a source close to the couple claims.
Taylor Swift may have a successful career, but she has no doubt been unlucky in love. Despite dating high profile celebs such as John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Harry Styles, Calvin Harris, and Tom Hiddleston, Taylor’s relationships don’t usually last more than a few months, with the exception of Calvin Harris whom she dated for over a year.
It also seems as if Taylor is trying to learn from some of the mistakes she has made in the past. She and Joe Alwyn have decided to be very private about their relationship, hoping to avoid the backlash she faced last summer when she had a very public relationship with actor Tom Hiddleston and the two were photographed non stop for weeks.
But, Taylor has decided to do things differently this time around. In the six months that Taylor and Joe have been together, the paparazzi have only been able to get one photo of the couple together.
