Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Joe Alwyn could be dating the famous singer for fame reasons. Some of her fans are not too sure about her relationship with the unknown actor. Reports claim that Joe Alwyn is looking forward to embarking on his acting career in Hollywood. Taylor Swift’s boyfriend wasn’t getting a lot of work before since he’s from the U.K. His only big break was in Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk last year.
Then he starts dating Taylor Swift and the roles come flying in. He’s reportedly moving to Los Angeles to be closer to the pop star and to better his career. Being Taylor Swift’s boyfriend can have its share of perks, unless you’re Tom Hiddleston. Joe Alwyn was casted in a new movie opposite Margot Robbie and Saorise Ronan in Mary Queen of Scots, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film will chronicle the life and rivalry between Mary and Elizabeth. The ending will show one try to overthrow her cousin’s seat on the English thrown. We all know how that ends. It turns out that Joel Alwyn will play the role of Dudley, Queen Elizabeth’s counselor and lover. Mary Queen of Scots is based on John Guy’s 2004 biography The True Life of Mary Stuart.
The Hollywood Reporter refers to Joe Alwyn as a rising star. It looks like this British actor is trying to get a good word in with Hollywood. Before he starred in Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, he never had much experience in front of the camera. It sounds like he’s more of an aspirational actor. But, he did star in The Sense of an Ending with Charlotte Rampling. Joe Alwyn is also expected to star opposite Emma Stone (one of Taylor Swift’s many famous BFFs) in the upcoming film The Favourite, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos.
According to the report, Joe Alwyn is repped by CAA and Independent Talent Group in the U.K. What also helps is that he’s dating Taylor Swift. Tom Hiddleston also thought that dating the country-turned-pop singer was a good thing for his career as well. He had his eye on the James Bond role. But, we all know things don’t end well for Taylor Swift’s future ex-boyfriends. She drags them through the media and writes breakup songs about them.
