The Bachelorette begins tonight with Rachel meeting with Jonathan; she is beginning to see the drama and jealousy from the men. Eric continues to yell at the men telling them to stop using his name. Josiah agrees with him saying Lee is just an instigator and he openly admits he enjoys pissing him off. Iggy asks him what is the outcome he wants from this entire conversation; Lee refuses to make peace with Eric saying he didn’t come here to make friends and will definitely have problems with some of these men later and it might get a little crazy.

Lee interrupts Kenny and Rachel’s time, asking for 16 seconds to talk. When Kenny hugs Rachel, Lee comes over to Rachel saying he is there to cut in. Kenny is angry and inside the house, Dean feels Lee is an idiot. Lee sits with Rachel sharing a story about his grandfather and presents her with a piece of wood with the word ENCHANTING etched on it. He says he is there to pull Rachel’s heartstrings.

Dean says he is finding Lee picking fights with people he is used to seeing every day and figures the longer Lee sticks around, the more everyone will be intolerant of his attitude and behavior. Kenny shares that he is trying very hard to be level headed but he is so mad he gets up and says he needs to handle his business.

Bryan says he doesn’t care about the drama in the house, its just important to him to spend time with Rachel. He feels they click and he wants her to feel safe with him; she tells him she is very vulnerable with him and it scares her that it isn’t real. He welcomes her to the fairytale, and promises her that whenever she feels weak to rely on him and vice versa. He tells her she is his future and refuses to focus on the drama and its going to remain that way. Rachel feels Bryan is a breath of fresh air.
Kenny pulls Lee out of the group, saying they need to talk in private. As Kenny tries to figure out his words, Lee tells him to get to it; the men inside are sure something is about to happen. Kenny confronts him about taking advantage of their friendship to snake more time with Rachel.

Dean is hoping Kenny punches Lee in the face. Lee lies and Kenny feels super disrespectful; Rachel can hear them arguing and finds it hard to have one-on-one time with the men. Lee laughs as Kenny walks away sure that Kenny is the next one going home.

Rachel is furious that tonight hasn’t been a party and she now just wants to get the night over with. She reveals she is disappointed in the guys tonight and tells the cameras she can’t even talk about the pressure she is under. She worries about the people who are going to judge her and she is the only one who will have to deal with it. She cries in frustration, saying we have no idea what its like to be in this position and refuses to talk any more.

Chris Harrison comes to Rachel understanding the pressure she feels sometimes, but everyone is there to help her, all she has to do is tell him what she wants and he can facilitate anything. Inside the mansion as the men are talking about the night’s events, Chris comes in telling them Rachel is not coming to mingle and wants to go straight to the rose ceremony as its been too stressful for her. Everyone feels Lee is stirring the pot, no one likes him and all hope he is going home.

Rachel arrives, saying the night was heavy and frustrating for a number of reasons, she admits to having some great conversations and she is holding on to those as they are what helped her survive the night. She gives Will, Dean, Jonathan, Peter, Adam, Bryan, Matt, Josiah, Jack, Iggy, Kenny, and Lee all receive roses.

Rachel asks the remaining men if they can leave the negativity and drama behind them and move forward to something better; they all cheers in agreement.

Rachel is on a sailboat, happy to have a fresh start at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The men are excited to get to know Rachel a little better after such an eventful night, they are happy to leave LA and the mansion for a while to come to their picturesque resort. The first date card arrives.

“Dean, our love is about to take off.” He is pumped to have his first one-on-one date with Rachel. Eric is surprised it wasn’t his date alone with her as they had talked about it, he is clearly disappointed along with several of the men. Dean is nervous but excited that she decided to spend the whole day with him.

He drives the jeep into the middle of a field, she says they are going to have a picnic and sits on the hood of the jeep with champagne and glasses. Rachel hope they can take their relationship to new heights. Rachel jumps for joy as the Goodyear blimp soars towards them saying, “Hey you, your ride has arrived!” She shrieks with happiness but Dean is terrified of heights, admitting he is scared.

The blimp lands, as Dean frets about the blimp ride, he says he had motion sickness as a child and is about to go on a blimp. His heart is racing and he is a 10 on the freak out scale; Rachel assures him it is like riding a bus. They hold hands as they soar to new heights, she wants him to feel safe with her and she takes a seat in the front and flies it herself, she pushes Dean to do it too or he’d regret it.

Rachel shares that she is a daredevil and is looking for a guy to share that with. She says Dean makes her feel comfortable and they begin to kiss. She says Dean is one that always surprises her and gets lost in the moments with him. The blimp flies by the resort, showing the other guys they are in it and it says Rachel and Dean are in here… Rachel and Dean forever.

The men feel the negative thing with her and Dean is the age difference. Bryan says she is intrigued by Dean but at the end of the day, his age will play a factor. He should be worried if he cannot show a level of maturity Rachel wants and needs, he could be going home.

As the sun goes down, at the Sonesta Resort, the door knocks and another date card arrives. Alex, Anthony, Peter, Bryan, Jonathan, Adam, Matt, Kenny, Lee, Iggy, Eric, Will and Josiah are on the card saying, “I want to see who’s ready for commitment… Rachel.” Jack is thrilled because he really wanted a one-on-one with Rachel instead of a group date. Lee is stirring the pot more, causing more drama and messing with people’s heads, telling Jack and Bryan there is high pressure on single dates.

Rachel and Dean arrive for their dinner, she loves being with Dean and feels it was an incredible day filled with fun and conversations very light, comfortable and easy but she is concerned about his age and that he might be too young to get married and start a family. She hopes the dinner will go deeper and to see how they feel.

Rachel tells Dean her parents have been married for 38 years but was brought up in a very strict, religious family and both grew up with family-oriented backgrounds. Dean shares that his mother had breast cancer and passed away; but says she was a super woman and incredible mother. He reveals the hardest moment of his life was when his mother told him she was never coming home.

He is saddened that once she died, his family fell apart and he basically lived alone from 15 to 18, he tears up but she encourages him to not close up. He tells her he wants to be a father and have a close-knit family; she feels that is beautiful because he could have chosen to gone the other way.

She cries as she can’t imagine going through that but fought the tears in front of him, not wanting to make him cry more. She hands him the rose saying he has always intrigued her, the daytime was amazing and she thinks he is a beautiful person for opening up to her. He accepts the rose.
Rachel and Dean end the night with a concert by Russell Dickerson. He hopes she finds love, revealing this is the whole reason he wrote this song, Rachel and Dean share a beautiful dance together. Dean says he can feel himself falling in love with her and it feels really good. Rachel says after today, she can totally see a future with Dean.

The sun rises and the men find Rachel at the Hilton Head Island Marina, this is the biggest group date she has had so far but is worried about the drama, hoping they leave the drama behind them and have a good time.

They head out on a Vagabond Cruise boat, enjoying drinks and dancing around acting like Alpha males desperate to get her attention. She encourages them to remove their shirts and everyone is having a good time. After doing sit-ups and pulling a Titanic moment they have a rap battle between the guys. The date has come to an end but Rachel has something else planned for them.

Rachel says she has tested the men on their dancing and stripping skills and today she is going to test their cerebral skills as Chris Harrison welcomes them to Bachelor Nation Spelling Bee. The guys are called on stage, in front of the crowd as the competition starts. Rachel wants a guy who is not just have a good time and roll with the punches, she needs someone that is intelligent. If they spell a word wrong they need to do the walk of shame or go to detention; the last one will be the winner of the spelling bee; Rachel is invited to be the fourth judge.

Kenny is the first knocked out of the spelling bee into detention, spelling champagne wrong. Rachel jokes its a bit concerning how quickly the detention room is filling up. Will and Josiah are the final two, but even if the one spells it wrong, the other needs to spell theirs right to win. The spelling bee champion is Josiah and he receives a trophy for his effort.

At the Hilton Head Island Yacht Club, Rachel and the guys sit down for drinks and an over-confident Josiah pours his drink into his trophy to drink it. She cheers them all for letting loose, having a good time and embracing the fun of things; she hopes they will keep the energy for the night.

Peter sits with Rachel who loved his rap today. She was thrilled everyone loosened up. Rachel loves how Peter surprises her and how organic their relationship is and how it progressively grows so easily. They talk about wanting to always be shoeless; she asks him if he would move to Texas. She says if she loves someone and they talk about it, she would be willing to move; admitting she is licensed to practice law in Wisconsin. They kiss as he reveals she is the exact type of person he would want to marry.

The guys talk about Rachel and how amazing she is; that she is the woman every man waits their whole life for. She sits with Eric, who admits he had a good day. She’s happy he is having a much better week and tells him she had a blast too. She kisses him saying he is someone who makes things easy and feel comfortable; he makes her laugh and feels her and Eric could really be something.

Iggy sits with Rachel but feels he doesn’t want to be the reason there is drama tonight but he feels concerned for her about the fake people around her. Iggy reveals to her what the common threat is in the house, questioning Josiah. He tells her he is protective of her and surprised by her.

Josiah confronts the entire group, saying he isn’t a punching dog nor a corny dude. Iggy tells him he just had his one-on-one with Rachel telling her that there is some serious tension with Josiah in the house. Josiah won’t let him finish explaining himself, feeling this is the exact same thing that happened last week with Eric.
Eric feels Iggy is a gossip queen, that its not his responsibility to tell Rachel what is happening, she is a smart girl and he should let her figure it out for herself. Eric and Josiah feel Iggy is the problem, revealing he confessed to shootings steroids. Josiah says Iggy doesn’t get a cookie for being a rat.

Lee sits with Rachel, she confronts him about what happened the previous week between Lee and Kenny. He says he doesn’t care about Kenny, he is spending time with Rachel and smile, which will just anger Kenny even more.

Lee shares Kenny was overly aggressive and it was uncalled for but Rachel feels Lee is wrong and she needs to talk to him now. Lee says Kenny is a butthole and can take the WWE fake wrestling somewhere else. The guys wait impatiently to see who will receive the group rose for the night. Lee smirks as he knows he threw Kenny under the bus.

Kenny joins Rachel by the water, he raps a sweet song to her, she giggles. She wants to keep it real, revealing the argument she overheard during her private conversation with Bryce. She wants to know his side of the story. She questions whether what she is getting is really him as this is nothing like the Kenny she has gotten to know. He admits he is ashamed of what he said and feels he should have dealt with it differently.

Lee sits with Bryan and Peter, saying he could say something to each of them that would irritate the crap out of them; but chooses not to. Peter feels Lee is very fake and he is uncomfortable around him. Kenny tells Rachel Lee’s handshake doesn’t match his smile. They hug but Kenny isn’t sure how this will turn out as he feels Rachel’s body language is telling him she is on Lee’s side.
Lee continues to talk trash at the bar while Kenny returns frustrated with Lee’s lies to Rachel. Kenny tells Lee they need to have a chat and Lee goes with him over-exaggerating. The guys watch them but refuse to get involved unless they get physical.

To be continued on a 2-night event next Monday, June 26 and Tuesday, June 27, 2017.
