The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Fans Shocked At Rena Sofer Daytime Emmy Snub - Is Quinn A Great B&B Character?

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers report that B&B fans are shocked that Rena Sofer was shut out of major acting categories in the 2017 Daytime Emmy Award announcement. The 2017 Daytime Emmy Awards include 23 nominations for the CBS show The Bold and the Beautiful. However, several of the actors and actresses were left out of major acting categories. There were no nominations from the show in the Outstanding Supporting Actor or Actress in a Drama Series sections. This is a glaring omission and insult to Rena Sofer (Quinn).

Quinn has been front and center in two of the most important storylines of the show in the last year. Her performance as “Eve” during the kidnapping of Liam (Scott Clifton) was groundbreaking. As the story unfolded fans went from shocked to actually hoping the couple could last together. Sofer brought a vulnerability to the character that completely changed the direction of the character and show. She has since been heavily involved in the Forrester family drama and love triangle between Ridge and Eric. Fans are truly torn between which leading man should be the ultimate victor.

Heather Tom (Katie) is the actress to beat for the Actress in a Drama Series Emmy. Tom’s portrayal of the betrayed wife and sister were phenomenal. Her descent into alcoholism as well as her fear of losing her mind during the Brooke (Katherine Kelley Lange) and Bill (Don Daimont) affair make her a shoo in for this award. The Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series nomination does to Scott Clifton (Liam) who has also been involved in several major storylines in the last year. His recent marriage will continue to give him significant airtime on the show.

Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series Emmy nod justifiably goes to Reign Edwards (Nicole). Her acting has been out of this world as the infidelity by her lover and her sister cut her to her core. Rounding out the announcements today are Pierson Fode (Thomas) and Anthony Turmel (R.J) as Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series.

The show was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Drama Series Directing Team and Outstanding Drama Series Writing Team. The Bold and the Beautiful won the Outstanding Drama Series Writing Team Emmy last year and based on the storylines of the last year are a serious contender again this year. The Emmy’s will be awarded April 30 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. What do you think of the recent Emmy announcements?
