Is Nina Dobrev returning to ‘The Vampire Diaries’ as Elena Gilbert or Katherine Pierce? Or will she come back as both? That’s what fans can’t help but wonder as there’s a new spoiler that indicates fans might be seeing a whole lot of Nina Dobrev during The Vampire Diaries series finale episode.
Reports say that Katherine Pierce will be making a surprise appearance at Stefan and Caroline’s wedding. One of the reasons why Katherine is expected back on the show is because there’s no way she would miss Stefan’s wedding. After all, she’s been madly in love with him for over 150 years now. Plus, she’s obsessed with him.
Even though Katherine was killed off during season 5, many fans believe that she might make a surprise return. To add even more fuel to the fire, Caroline can be seen wearing Katherine’s necklace on her wedding day.
Many fans say there’s no way that someone like Katherine would miss this wedding. Plus, she’ll be bringing plenty of drama with her, too. Since Katherine is in charge of Hell, many fans believe that she is going to use her powers to get her revenge on Stefan and Damon and anyone else who might have done her wrong at Mystic Falls.
Then again, Nina Dobrev also appeared on another teaser trailer for the show as Elena Gilbert. Even though the clip doesn’t reveal much, Elena can be seen gazing at a trophy display back at Mystic Falls High School. She even says during the teaser, “Why am I here right now?”
If that weren’t enough, the CW also released new photos for the March 10th series finale. The photos include Nina Dobrev, but fans don’t know if she’s in character as Elena Gilbert of Katherine Pierce.
Tell us, do you think Nina Dobrev will be returning as Katherine Piece instead of Elena Gilbert? Or is she coming back as both characters? At this point, fans will just have to tune in to see what happens next. Either way, she’ll be putting in plenty of double duty.
