The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman’s recast and return will lead to some shakeups in Genoa City. It looks like the CBS soap intends to recast this role, which means plenty of secrets will be exposed. Y&R will reveal how Adam survived the explosion as well as the reason he’s been in hiding. At this point Jason Gerhardt looks like a strong candidate to take on the role. Michael Muhney supporters are hoping he gets the nod to play Adam but there are doubts he will.
There are many possibilities, including amnesia or a dangerous captor. Adam might even be staying away intentionally to protect Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois). It’s too early to say what The Young and the Restless writers will cook up.
Regardless, The Young and the Restless spoilers know that Adam’s comeback will provide some shocking moments. Adam may feel betrayed by his brother when he sees how quickly “Chick” happened. Nick (Joshua Morrow) certainly wasted no time! He obviously put pressure on a grieving Chelsea.
Once Adam returns, Nick might put up a fight for Chelsea. He may be sorry for what Adam went through, but he may not think this means he has to step aside. Chelsea should be completely overwhelmed by all of this. She thought Adam was dead, gone for good.
Chelsea wasn’t sure how she could possibly move on after Adam’s “death.” Nick did his best to lift Chelsea out of her funk, but she’s still in great pain. The Young and the Restless fans see that her passionate quest to take down Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) proves that Adam is on her mind and in her heart.
Nevertheless, part of Chelsea may feel guilty about breaking up with Nick. That’s especially true if Adam deceived his wife. If he was purposely steering clear of Chelsea for her protection, she may be hurt. Chelsea may not understand why Adam would allow her to suffer.
If Nick tries to turn Chelsea against her husband, Adam may take drastic action. The Young and the Restless fans have been anxiously awaiting the Christian paternity bombshell. Will Adam reveal that he’s Christian’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) biological father? Adam could insist that if he can’t have Chelsea, he’s at least taking back his son.
This could spark a huge custody battle and add to the “Chadam” conflict. Of course, things would settle down in the end. Perhaps Adam would relent and let Nick raise Christian. Chelsea could eventually soften and reunite with Adam. Nick will just have to find someone else. He can’t compete with the love Adam and Chelsea share.
