The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) relationship will face some bumps in the road. Y&R fans know that Nick is keeping a big secret from Chelsea. He’s hiding the fact that Victor (Eric Braeden) roped Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) into his scheme. Vic convinced Chloe to help him frame Adam (Justin Hartley) for murder.
Of course, that means Victor is pretty much to blame for everything that’s transpired since then. He put Chloe in a position where she could kill Adam. Without Victor’s help, Chloe would’ve remained in a psychiatric facility where she belonged.
Chelsea will realize that Chloe’s death also could’ve been prevented. It’s Victor’s fault she made a mess and felt backed into a corner. Once Nick eventually comes clean, Chelsea should blow her top. She may decide she doesn’t care about Nick’s feelings anymore. This could lead to the paternity revelation we’ve all been waiting for.
Will Chelsea blurt out that Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) isn’t Nick’s son? She could insist that Christian actually belongs to Adam. Like Chelsea, Nick will also be livid over the deception. He’ll have to cope with news itself, too. Nick will have a tough time wrapping his head around all of this.
The Young and the Restless couple may be headed for a nasty breakup. Nick and Chelsea could find themselves at odds over all the lies. That’s when things could get interesting. What if Chelsea discovers she’s pregnant? A baby could help them come together or at least help them put aside their conflict.
Naturally, an Adam recast would hit town shortly before or after. The Young and the Restless viewers know that Adam is Chelsea’s soul mate, so there’s no way she’d choose Nick over him. Once Nick was shoved aside, Chelsea could have his kid and co-parent with him. They could remain civil for the sake of their child.
Meanwhile, Christian could be raised by Adam and Chelsea. It would be difficult for Nick to move into the role of an uncle to Christian, but he could lean on Sharon (Sharon Case) for support. A “Shick” reunion could be brewing. Nick’s baby drama could create complications in the midst of it all.
